"Petticoat Junction vs. The Brady Bunch" was a pleasant first edition of "TV's All-Time Favorites on Family Feud"
What I'm reviewing here was the first program of two weeks of "TV's All-Time Favorites on Family Feud" which, besides the two listed above, also included "Leave It to Beaver" and "Your Hit Parade" for the first week and "Batman", "Gilligan's Island", "Hawaiian Eye", and "Lost in Space" for week 2. The "Petticoat Junction" cast that appeared consisted of Frank Cady (Sam Drucker), Linda Kaye Henning (Betty Jo Bradley), Lori Saunders (Bobbie Jo Bradley, No. 2), Gunilla Hutton (Billie Jo Bradley, No. 2), and Meredith MacCrae (Billie Jo Bradley, No. 3). "The Brady Bunch" cast that competed against them were Florence Henderson (Carol Brady), Robert Reed (Mike Brady), Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady), Christopher Knight (Peter Brady), and Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady). The funniest moments were provided by Knight when first he answered the survey question "Name a fairy tale that's also a love story" by answering "Hansel and Gretel" and then when he was coming to the board and buzzed after the question was asked, he forgot to reply right away! Of course, host Richard Dawson kissed all the lovely ladies (Of which I thought Ms. Saunders was the loveliest) and gave them all flowers. While the Bradys dominated the first few rounds, the Petticoats of Hooterville gained big in the last two with them going to Fast Money with Meredith and Linda playing and the latter winning 200 or more on the first question. All in all, this was quite a pleasant initial edition of the "TV's All-Time Favorites on Family Feud" weeks. Now I'm going to watch one with "The Brady Bunch" and "Your Hit Parade" on YouTube...
