I don't understand the low rating (4.9) up to date. I really liked it, not to mention my 3yo daughter. I was really curious to see the sequel after TB1 was highly satisfactory for the whole family. I watched it about a couple of dozen times with the little one. Now this new DVD would experience the hard times the first one did until now... but I grabbed it to our NMT and put the media to safety. I can nothing but recommend it. Really nice animation, eye candy from the beginning to the end, nice story, nice message. Most of the characters from the first TB got just marginal appearances, on the other way others were promoted. This one was more about Tink, less about interaction between the fairies like in the first one, but imo the movie did not suffer because of that. All in all - 8/10

Delightful and full-worthy "sequel" to "Tinker Bell"

All fans of Tinker Bell and her first movie have no reason to worry; "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure" is a full-worthy sequel to the first movie. Considering that there's only one year of absence between the movies, the filmmakers have done a good job to make this a complete movie and not only a product for cash-cowing, like it easily could have been.
Although I enjoyed last years Tinker Bell adventure, I definitively enjoyed this film more. The previews who were released before the movie came out seemed very promising and the final movie definitively lived up to the expectations. This "sequel" is more dynamic in many ways. It opens with the catchy and inspiring "If You Believe". The plot is more engaging, more suspenseful and it has a few more action sequences than it's predecessor, but this is after all a G-rated family film, so it never crosses the line.
The film focus more on the relationship between Tink and Terence this time, which serves the movie well. Tink herself is presented as a versatile character and the fact that she actually talks feels never distracting in neither of the movies.
Otherwise, this film has the cuteness-factor like the first flick had, which only makes the experience more enjoyable, but it's also a bit more edgier in terms of the adventurous plot. The animation is even better this time, the characters are still likable and the cute score of Joel McNeely fits the movie well. Besides, there are more humor in the screenplay.
So don't hesitate by seeing this movie when it comes to DVD. It is a cute and sweet movie experience and a wonderful movie threat for kids and every Tinker Bell fan.

Really Fun and Different from the first movie

My mother, wife and I just took our 3-year old daughter to her first movie, and since she loved the first Tinker Bell DVD so much, we couldn't have chosen a better first than the sequel. We are fortunate enough to live in Los Angeles and have been to a couple of El Capitan screenings; if you ever get the opportunity it's an experience not-to-be missed. At $11 for the adults and $10 for children it's not especially cheap, especially considering that the DVD will hit stores on October 27 with a list price of less than the price of two adult tickets. However, the movie is playing at exactly ONE theater in the entire U.S. and for a week only. Disney did the same thing last year with the release of the first Tinkerbell movie.
As always once you're seated you're treated to a pre-show performance by Rob Richards on the theater's beautiful organ. The show's only just started though, when screening time comes an elaborate screen/miniature set plays some great animation reminiscent of the grand film palaces of the past. With every movie at the theater there's also a live-movie specific pre-show, for Tink it's just a single actress playing the titular hero who does a quick Irish jig similar to "Riverdance".
Previews: Toy Story 3, A Christmas Carol, Princess & The Frog. The first two were in 3-D with glasses provided. I hadn't seen any of Disney Digital's previous films, but I'll be darned if I don't want to see both of the upcoming 3D features, and I'm not a huge Jim Carrey fan! The preview for the most recent Disney Princess movie also contained a promotion for the exclusive 2-week engagement at the Disney Studios in Burbank

The film itself is as good, if not better than the first one. We don't need any clunky origin story in this film, and thankfully there's no recap of the first movie either. The characters are all reintroduced, even if most of the familiar faces have little more than extended cameos. This is definitely Tink's adventure, shared with Terrence the Dust Keeper.
After the obligatory plot exposition beginning we get a few scenes of Tink and Terrence working on the big project, which of course ends badly. Tink then sets off in search of the Lost Treasure of the title in a home-made "balloon". There are some great action sequences and some minor thrills, but nothing too scary. No big villains either, some comical trolls and some nasty looking red-eyed rats are about as scary as you get. The end sequence is a beautifully animated celebration that was just about the best eye-candy that I've seen in a "kiddie" movie, and certainly was enhanced by the big-screen presentation.
The voice acting is all very well performed, if not exceptional. As I previous said most of the major characters from the first film don't really have a lot of scenes in this one. Each of Tink's friends get one or two standout moments, and they all get costume re-designs reflecting the colder weather of Fall. Rosetta's new outfit was especially pleasing to me, as I loved her original outfit but was really surprised at how much I liked her new top. Have I spent too much time watching the first movie? Yes, I have. As I said, my 3-year old has just about worn out our DVD. I've seen the first movie easily over 100 times in the last year.
I would have to say that my biggest gripe is that the film, when blown up on the big-screen, made some of the characters look like little more than animate dolls. It's especially noticeable in two-shots with Tink and another character (usually Terrence). The animation and production design of this film is really top-notch, every outdoor sequence looked fantastic and was filled with detail that you will miss when it's translated to your home TV. The backgrounds are simply sumptuous, and the fly-overs (of which there are many) are pure glamor-shots that don't disappoint. There's also a ton of homages and in-jokes to Peter Pan and the rest of the Disney oeuvre. A feast for the eyes is not understatement here.
A few random notes:
America Ferrera does not return as the voice of Fawn. While Vidia (Pamela Adlon) appears, I don't actually recall her having any lines. I could be mistaken though. The voice of the Minister of Autumn, is John DiMaggio, better known as Bender from Futurama Queen Clarion's skirt is really something to behold.
Sometimes when you go see a film at the El Cap sometimes there's even more extra perks. Today Rob Paulsen and Jeff Bennett the voices of Bobble & Clank, as well as the trolls, were doing a free signing at the Soda Fountain next door. Since Rob Paulsen is also better known as "Pinky" and "Yakko Warner" from Animaniacs/Pinky & The Brain it was a real treat for me to get his signature. I had hoped to bring our Animaniacs Season 1 DVD, but sadly forgot it. I did make my wife's Cell Phone ring, since her ring-tone is "I'm Cute" from the show. Rob sang along with us, and it was a magical moment. I've now met both Pinky and the Brain, as I met Maurice LeMarche aka The Brain, many years ago at a SDCC.
Not only that, but all kids in attendance got a nifty little Tinkerbell Coin Purse too. The service was fairly standard Disney quality, which when compared to most other major amusements is better than average

'Tinker' Wears On You, But Visuals Are Astounding

A movie designed for young girls is not something I would normally watch but I read where the visuals on the Blu-Ray DVD of this film was astounding. So....I rented it the other day to see how it looked. Hey, for $2, it was worth a shot.
Well, the visuals exceeded all expectations. This is as pretty an animated film as I've ever seen, and I've seen most of them. Animated films have looking better and better in recent years and in high-def, many of them look downright spectacular. But, a little girl's movie about Tinker Bell? Could that look as impressive as those big-budget, big-hyped films like "Cars," "Up," "Ice Age," etc.?
In a one-word answer: yes.
The colors in here are as good as anything I've seen. Your jaw drops as you watch scene-after-scene. It's amazing.
Is there "bad news?" Yes, at least for old codgers like me who don't want to hear the lead character ("Tinker Bell") whining, bitching-and-moaning much of the time. Is this Tinker Bell I saw years ago? No, this is the modern version, I guess: a pouting 13-14-year-old-like girl who can really get on your nerves the second half of this film. She's okay in the beginning but once she's airborne and some troubles start, plug your ears because she's constantly complaining, snapping at well-intentioned friends and simply becoming a real pain-in-the-butt.
If I ever see this DVD again, I'll just mute the second half of the film and marvel 100 percent at all the incredible artwork in here.

Having enjoyed the first Tinkerbell I was all for watching this one too. And I liked it just as much. It is too short, with some uneven pacing and insipid dialogue in between, but actually for what it set out to do it was a very nice movie.
The animation is surprisingly very good, not all plastic no substance sort of animation, but quite colourful and somewhat warm and the characters are well modelled. The music is very fitting, memorable and soothing too, while the story while simple is cute and charming with a nice message told subtly.
The characters are engaging, there is more of a focus on Tink and Terence which is not distracting at all and is quite cute, and the voice acting is as good as it can be. All in all, very nice and ideal for especially young girls. 7/10 Bethany Cox

I second what most of these reviews seem to say.
Surprisingly great movie. Watched it with my 4 year old daughter expecting another god-awful kids movie that unquestionably scars their subconscious in some way I haven't even thought of. Instead, found myself enjoying the hero quest - as much as if I were watching Visionquest with Fiorentino.
A real movie, stunningly unexpected given the lameness of its progenitor.
I am amazed this has not received more attention. It's definitely and outlier in the genre.

A second CGI animated DTV production for Tinker Bell and friends. Not as good as the first. The supporting cast have had their roles reduced to focus more on Tinker Bell and her best friend Terence. It removes a lot of the lighthearted funny moments from the first. When the cute animals show up they are still hilarious, with a bug named Blaze and a frog making a quick exit from an awkward situation. Terence is far too annoying to have a big part in this. He's irritating and screws everything up, the twerp. It's cute and quite an innocent watch without patronizing it's core audience. Will please the target audience no end and the animation is still impressive.

I don't really like to post comments but I am felt really moved by this movie. My 3 year old girl has recently been asking "can we watch a movie that doesn't have a bad guy in it?". This can be done, but not without some effort. And not with the wit and pace of this movie. She loves this movie for the adventure. I love it for the message. This DVD offers a lot of discussion points for she and I to talk about how to treat your friends. I'm happy she doesn't have to feel intimidated by any "bad guy". I'm also happy I don't have to feel beat over the head by another message movie like Wall-e. I look forward to the next installment of the series. I'll buy it the day it comes out.
So much better than the first film.

Initially thinking the Tinker Bell movies were more for little girls, and not finding the first film extraordinary, I nevertheless decided to watch the second installment, and I'm very glad I did. This is so much better than the first film, with more action, adventure and excitement. And Tinker Bell is not as annoying. All the likable characters from the first film are back, and adventure starts when Tinker Bell is chosen to design the new sceptre. My favorite character from the first film, Cheese, only has a small role here, but there's a new very likable character - the firefly Blaze.
The animation is also better than 2008's Tinker Bell. The first film revolved around Spring, while this installment is about Autumn.

Another great adventure for Tinker Bell

This is another great film from the world of Pixie Hollow. I've always loved Tinker Bell, and I think this film is another great addition to the adventures that she gets involved with.
This time, Autumn is coming, and Tinker Bell is chosen to create a scepter to hold a precious and fragile blue moonstone so that blue pixie dust can be created to restore the Pixie Dust Tree. But when her friend Terence creates annoyance by trying to be too helpful, she not only gets into an argument with him, but accidentally breaks the moonstone. Hoping to repair the moonstone, she goes on a quest to find a magic mirror which grants wishes.
The voice cast is great, the music is wonderful and it's just a wonderful film, even if, like the first one, it only goes for a short time. However, the return of Rob Paulsen and Jeff Bennett as Bobble and Clank provide great laughs for the film with their fireworks launcher! It's a fantastic film, and another great addition to the world of Tinker Bell.

Continuing my marathon even though I'm not the target audience for this film. I noticed that graphically it improved a lot. Regarding the story, I preferred the story of the first film. Maybe I got a little distracted in this movie or maybe what I thought was correct. For me, Tinker Bell went to the lost treasure ship to fix the jewel, but when she got there she accidentally used the magic of the mirror for something else, so she realized she was arrogant and managed to do the deal even with the jewel broken, right? ? So in a way the journey was in vain, it served no purpose, right? From the first it was a matter of acceptance, accepting that what you do, even if it is "small" in a way, is still important, and as much as I didn't like the film itself, at least I liked the message, now this one I found very unnecessary . Even why is this angry and arrogant Tinker Bell that we know in Peter Pan. Film Watched on September 12, 2023.

Brilliant. Exceptional. Incredible. I'll run out of superlatives. Just how good can a simple story get. Hats off to Disney. Each character is so beautifully built. But more than that, the attention given to every detail is something to take a lesson from....dewdrops for spectacles, crow feather for the rudder! Wow! And of course, everybody loves Blaze!! Friendship is the message of course, but that's not all. This certainly is animation at it's zenith, Disney have done it, and that too without Pixar. Just go and watch this movie. The child in you might rejoice after a long, long time. The one in me surely did. Sweet, sweet, sweet movie, cuteness factor 100.

Tinker Bell gets the great honor to build the Autumn Scepter to bring in Autumn in Pixie Hollow. To that scepter she is handed the moonstone that is used to sustain the Hollow's supply of Pixie Dust. The job does not go as planned and she ends up going on a dangerous mission to secure the survival of Pixie Hollow.
This second movie in the fairy franchise takes a step up from the first movie which was mostly to introduce us to Pixie Hollow, because the stakes get much higher and the imaginative world of the fairies is expanded with some mythology and interesting concepts of being a part of that world.
My only criticism is that the movie's message of forgiveness can be pretty hammered in at times when a more subtle approach would be enough.
But I loved Blaze, he was so cute and came to good use on the trip.

Our family enjoys these Tinkerbell movies. So nice to watch a movie without a villain and that explores emotions as related to friend relationships. Also nice that there isn't any really frightening images or creatures. It's annoying how so many animated features gear towards pleasing adults with innuendos that sometimes fly over children's heads. These Tinkerbell movies appeal to children and adults without being crude and having to make us laugh every couple of minutes. They are charming and visually stunning. I like how Tinkerbell sees the error of her ways and makes good with Terrance in the end. Good moral to the story and very entertaining! I hope they will continue to make these movies.

So here I am typing the eighth review for this film, a film that has everything family viewing could possibly want. There is one reviewer that says that Tinkerbell's voice grates and that if he were to watch the film again he would turn off the sound off when it came to the second half of the film well that to me is a very poor comment to make as this film is pretty much only Tinkerbell all of the way through of course she is going to be talking a lot and so therefore of course her voice could I suppose grate after a while just from hearing it too much. It doesn't! Not in anyway shape or form. What it does do is come across splendidly. In fact it is not just from the actress that voices Tinkerbell that the vocal acting comes across as superb, the vocal acting comes across that way from all of the actors! The artwork is just as fantastic with every scene being a visual masterpiece! The strong and firm message is friendship; something which thanks to the mental disability called Asperger Syndrome that I have, I have suffered with a severe lack of in my life. It comes across so strongly in this film, and so firmly, that it reminded me of what I have been missing, what I am missing and unfortunately probably what I will be missing for the rest of my life.
This film is very heart-warming, very touching and has the running gags you would expect. I didn't know it was a sequel, I only wish I could see the first one in the series as this is the second and I thoroughly loved this film. If the first is as good as this and is seeming to be from others have said then I know it will be great! Thanks to the amazing artwork and fantastic vocal talent you will be left drooling for more! Rollon the next two!

Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is something different among the Tinkerbell series. The story is simple. I was amazed to see how it turned out to be a great one.
The animation shows us one thing. We all want to stay with someone who love very closely. But we don't realise that because of our actions, the other one might feel something. So, sometimes, instead of staying too close, we need to keep a distance. We need to give them space. So that we could live freely and no more problems will appear. The concept is so simple, but because of it, I love this animation so much.
Overall is that Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure is kind of an adventure film, but it's not that much adventure. Even though, it's totally enjoyable and I've fully enjoyed.

I have seen a lot of animations, cartoons, Japanese Animations and many more around the world but none came closer to this Tinker Bell Animation series! The story line is great as it compare to Barbies series, this Tinker Bell is far more better with great story detail (no nasty ugliest bad guy) great graphic, great film for kids. It's amazing story for all ages with warmest feeling to watch and my kids love watching it over and over. The computer graphic is amazing on large TV...it come alive in front of you.The voice casting are so great, you'll forget that it's a human voice!...Great film, great story, great voices casting, great animation in all series of Tinker Bell. I will keep a look out for these series in future!

This is a much watch film for children and adults alike. This is the second movie in the Tinker Bell series. Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is about Tinker Bell being chosen to make the year's scepter. Fairy Mary gives Tinker the moon stone to place in the scepter, but upon a temper tantrum Tinker had with Terrance the moon stone gets broken. While at the theater, Tinker learns of a mirror that has one wish left in it. Tinker then sets out on a journey to find the mirror to fix the moonstone. This movie, along with the first one, had me entranced. The animation and music is beautiful. The plot was very well done as well. Even though this was a direct-to-DVD release, to me this felt worthy of being in theaters. If you love Tinker Bell, fairies, Disney, animation, etc. then this is a must watch.

In this second movie, I got to see more of Tinker Bell and Terrence which I wished when I watched the first movie. My heart is full after watching this, this is my second favorite out all the the movies of Tinker Bell. She and Terrence are making my mood light up as always. I also want a friendship like them, unfortunately even though I have friends I don't treat any of them as my best friend.

I rewatched this film a few days after rewatching the first movie and it's a good film. Honestly, I don't think the first 25 minutes were as fun or enjoyable as the rest of the film. I did notice that the animation looked slightly different. But honestly, I like it just slightly more than the first. Also, I loved Blaze. He carried the movie for me. Simple as that. I'm still thinking whether I should watch the other films but if I do, I feel like it would be likely that I would rewatch this film before any of the others. The only problem was Tink herself. But she was also kind of relatable. I also watched this at the start of this year so that's fun.

As cute as everyone else, I was super enchanted by the Tinker Bell fairy that I only knew from her small participation in the movie Peter Pan, the fairy's enchanted world is really fantastic, everything is very delicious, and the secondary characters are each one cuter than ever the other... There's no way not to love so much sweetness and cuteness... That way of her, super flustered, but very creative, generous and persistent, a great little fairy...

Oh my god John Dimaggio the voice actor of Jake The Dog ( Adventure Time) and Bender ( Futurama) was also there even though I like Adventure Time and Futurama i am still not interested on this film. I would prefer to watch Up and The Princess And The Frog better than this.
