- Lt. Richard O'Conner: [Richard is collecting bio-samples from a riverbed; he radios back to camp] O'Conner here. Hey, Denise, how much more of this stuff do we need?
- Dr. Denise Hanson: Well, how much more NASA meatloaf do you want?
- Lt. Richard O'Conner: Roger that.
- Dr. Denise Hanson: Wow. And you know her name.
- Lt. Richard O'Conner: She pointed to herself and said 'Sheenyana.'
- Lt. Cmdr. Monroe Bellwood: Maybe she just meant, 'Holy shit, aliens.'
- Dr. Denise Hanson: We are over four light-years from Earth, and she not only looks human, she is human.
- Sheenyana: [Sheenyana is looking at a far away mountain through Richard's high-tech binoculars.] Sheenyana...it means 'Sees Far.' Now I have seen farther than any of my people. Does that make me a god?
- Lt. Richard O'Conner: Only if your dagger makes you a god over an animal that you skin. It's a tool, Sheenyana. Nothing more.
- Sheenyana: [disturbed, Sheenyana turns and draws her dagger, staring at it.] My dagger does make me god over animal I skin. Why are you here?
- Dr. Denise Hanson: We cannot colonize this place. It'd be a crime.
- Lt. Cmdr. Monroe Bellwood: That's not our call, Doctor.
- Lt. Richard O'Conner: Isn't it? I mean, no one knows what's out here but us. Who else has to know?
- Lt. Cmdr. Monroe Bellwood: Our mission is to report our findings and we will complete our mission.
