This is the best Filipino Teleserye ever. Only Kim Chiu could have played Jasmine and only Gerald Anderson could have played Julian. That they were a couple at the time, made the TV romance special. Kim Chiu seems to have just thrown herself into the character of Jasmine and had a lot of fun with it. Gerald Anderson was excellent as Julian in a very controlled performance with Julian opening up the more he was with Jasmine. The supporting cast was also very good, especially Alex Gonzaga as Christine, Jasmine's best friend and Enchong Dee as Nico, Julian's best friend and rival for Jasmine's affections.
With excellent and inventive writing and directing, the romantic/comedy/drama was a roller coaster ride of twists and turns. It was always fun and playful. Whenever it seemed ready to lead to a happy resolution, there would be a surprise, leading to more trouble for the characters. You always felt that there had to finally be a happy ending and so there is, but how it got to that was so much fun.
