Sex & Nudity

  • On the couch, a wife is kissing her husband and you hear her moaning. They are interrupted by their employee, who comes into their house, at 6 am, to go to work.

Violence & Gore

  • A security guard points a gun at an intruder. Frustrated, Stonehill throws binders and piles of paper. John injures his hand on a window ledge. (He washes the bleeding wound in a sink.)

Profanity

  • 11 uses of "shit", 1 use of "bitch", 1 use of "bastard", 1 use of "goddamn", 4 uses of "ass", 1 use of "damn", 8 uses of "hell", 1 use of "piss", 1 use of "crap", 4 uses of "Oh my God", 2 uses of "My God", 2 uses of "Jesus", 2 uses of "Oh, Jesus", and 2 uses of "For Christ's Sake". The word "balls" is used once as a slang term for "testicles". This is a bit more language than most PG movies today.
  • About a dozen s-words. Sporadically used, a collection of other curse words includes "Hell," "Damn," "Asshole" and "Bitch." God's name is misused eight or 10 times; it's paired with "Damn" once. Jesus' name is abused a half-dozen times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • We see Stonehill with a lit cigarette in his hand and an open bottle of beer on a nearby table. He and John meet to talk in a bar. Glasses of wine are seen at a dinner get-together.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Robert, John and one of their workers race to buy a generator after the power goes out at their lab and precious samples might be ruined (but this is played fairly lightly).
  • John steals Robert's security clearance badge with the intent of taking some of the experimental product for his kids without permission. When a guard catches him, the man aims his handgun at John, with Robert then arriving and lying that he sent John to retrieve it for him.
  • Dr. Robert Stonehill is very intense and yells a lot, very loudly. It might scare younger kids.
  • John gets a call from Aileen that Megan is in the hospital, and when he gets there, she's been moved to ICU. They get bad news about her prognosis, and when they're later sitting with her, she flat lines, sending them into a panic and the staff into resuscitation mode. We later see the parents and think that she has died, but they get news that she has pulled through.
