Warning: Spoilers
On 25 November 2011, the documentary filmmaker Howard Fornoy (Ron Livingston) is taping the story of his family and more specifically of his younger brother Robert (Henry Thomas), the Messiahs. Bobby was a genius since he was born and in his adulthood he is anguished with the wars and violence of the human race. When he finds that in the small town of Las Plata in the violent Texas is a peaceful place, he researches and finds some chemicals in the local water that calms down people. He decides to spread out through the world using the blowup of a volcano and succeeds in his intent, being worldwide acclaimed. However, the unexpected collateral effect of the substance transforms the population in fools with Alzheimer.

"The End of the Whole Mess" is an original but depressing and pessimist tale. The story disclosed through the camera of a filmmaker has an optimistic beginning, supported by great cast and screenplay. My vote is seven.
