It was created by brothers Yuri and Vlad Baranovsky, who first filmed the pilot over 10 days in 2006 for a contest sponsored by MySpace and the TV channel FX. The show didn't win, but it did gain an online following. There are now three multi-act episodes, each running around 30 minutes. Each episode cost less than $400 to make, says Yuri Baranovsky, a 24-year-old San Francisco playwright.
