Plot is cooking!
elartu-953 September 2021
Another great episode. It speeded up things that I thought it will be boring and that might have taken more time to develop. This episode established the point of how the big events are coming and it looks very promising!

Apart from the plot, I liked how insane and unpredictable queen Kane can be. This character deserves the hate of everyone (lol). And for Haniwa, she is becoming a great character this season and hope she gets more badass scenes in the next episodes.

Starts slow but picks up near the end.
bbevis-479543 September 2021
The plot with Kane, Maghra and Harlan is a little boring but becomes more interesting by the end of the episode. I thought to myself Kane would be so easy to assassinate at this point that I don't understand why someone doesn't do it when they have the opportunity. It's not as if anyone is really supporting her. At times I despise Kane and other times I laugh(in a good way) at how outrageous some of her actions are. Hopefully Kane's actions continue to be unpredictable so the show doesn't succumb to boring tried and tested political plot lines.

Maghra is not given much to do in this episode but defy every crazy action Kane seems to make and Harlan continues to try and maintain his position of power. I wonder what Harlan may have up his sleeve in the coming episodes.

The relentless torture of Baba seems a long time coming from Edo's perspective. I appreciate See's show not tell approach to Voss and Edo's backstory. It seems Baba was easily manipulated into doing some terrible things to Edo and Edo's desire for revenge is clouding any of his judgements. Hopefully we get more character development for Edo instead of being a one note character hell bent on revenge.

The organic relationship between Wren and Haniwa is enjoyable, while predictable, and it's nice to see some characters enjoy a moment of happiness in an otherwise grim last two episodes. I wish Wren didn't make the decision she did during the closing moments of the episode but time will tell to see how her decision will play out.

Kofun continues to be boring and the writers are struggling to do anything with him. The soldier, Toad, tasked with bringing him back safely is interesting and I hope to see more of his character fleshed out. I also didn't care less for what is happening with Jerlamarel. His scenes added little to the episode and I was not invested in the new predicament he finds himself in.

There are a few key reveals in "Forever" that I won't discuss for the sake of spoilers and the last twenty or so minutes raises the heart rate enough to justify any viewers time. The reveals themselves of certain characters fates are intriguing and episode three has a lot of potential to keep See from falling into a sophomore slump.

Not bad

Warning: Spoilers
A decent episode overall, I was personally hoping for a more satisfying death for boots. The love story between Wren and Haniwa feels a bit forced/rushed. Haniwa hasn't known wren that long to make a connection like this. I feel as if they should've built up to it a bit more. Just because they both can see doesn't mean they really have any other connection. My jaw DROPPED when Tamacti Jun came back, how is he alive?!

Good one

Apart from the plot, I liked how insane and unpredictable queen Kane can be.

The show is really hitting its stride. There was some unnecessary aspects of this episode, but overall it really set the pace for the remainder of the season. A lot of action, surprises, and intrigue.

amine-201013 September 2021
Glad this series is hidden from children who love sex education and elite or any garbage netflix out there, this is so underrated series but I hope to keep that way i don't want to be ruined by under age audience, second this episode is great keep it me so entertained for 60 minutes ,it's been long long time I was happy watching a TV show since game of thrones, but one plot hole was useless and it's not that time we need to see that , this is dystopian futuristic story without eyes ,are we gonna care about love or lesbianism in future of course no it's gonna be a bloody hell on earth for thousand years , Love there's always love but lesbian haha I don't think so glad they separated those girls .

[6.8] Kane's aces
cjonesas30 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 2: An average episode with lots of unconvincing and unrealistic stuff thrown in for good measure. It doesn't have relatable suspense and thrill; the fights feel unrealistically forced and one-sided and the plots as bright as confined archives.

So far and true to the past, Queen Kane is (the) one crazy character whose presence is always interesting to follow.

"Baba Voss told me to give you this"
eunbi053026 October 2021
I don't know how that scene make into the final cut, Baba Voss tells Wren to pass on a bow and arrow for Haniwa, but whe she gets to Haniwa she is still wearing the quiver and only passes the bow, a huge blooper I would say.

Just kill the Queen
poinla374 September 2021
REally, Sivia Hoeks's acting is getting worse and worse (as far as there was any real acting skills involved...). This is getting silly and ridiculous. Just get rid of her please.

Oooof course. They gotta do that.

Warning: Spoilers
In predictable manner. In order to be "progressive" for the minority out there, they must have women kissing each other. It was predictable the whole episode. Weak sauce.

What a mess
lv-9026714 October 2021
I m done with this ... After watching a French kissing between 2 teens it's enough.

It's non sense ! No extra value to the story.

Do you really think that your show would be less accurate without it ??

I don't think so. What a mess... One more show who bends one knee and loose his soul.

Enjoy the season one and don't spoil your time with the 2nd.

9 good episodes, then came season 2 episode 2.
md_bell3 September 2021
Not what I expected. Usually that's a good thing but in this case it was awkward, cringwworthy tokenism. This episode was all about ticking a box for the show's producers. As usual it was unnecessary, added nothing to the story, and felt like it had been copy/pasted from every other show that's been released from the US over the last couple of years where 'the message'(sic) is more important than the plot or continuity. I'll take solid plot lines and continuity over any 'message,' any day of the week, as I'm sure is true for most. Disjointed, forced and disappointing is about the kindest thing I can say about this episode.

Kill the innocent bystanders, but spare the really evil villians!
cuvtixo-1319 September 2022
This episode is the worst so far. Certainly there have been many points where the bad guys are spared, illogically. Even when they promise to come back for revenge. This is ongoing issue with the queen, but I can overlook that. But especially in this episode, dozens of rather faceless soldiers and heavies get killed, shanked, their heads bashed in. But the really dramatic bad guys are spared, literally after promising to kill Baba Voss' family, or while posing an immediate danger. Considering there's a whole other season, I'm hoping this stupidity subsides. But, I'm dying a little inside every time a bad guy is spared. I don't need to give any spoilers, because if you've watched the previous episodes, you already know the kind of thing I'm complaining about. If it bothers you like me, you can skip this episode. The logic of the story is already totally shredded, missing an episode isn't going to take away any more, make it any less nonsensicle.

Waste of due dramatic clash
carlmov12 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First, where and how is Tamacti alive? Unless we see a flashback on how he survived, this news is poor writing. I mean, if he escaped, everyone, including the queen would search for his body, which we didn't see happen. Second, naturally, as he survived, why on earth would he end up with Baba in prison? Now the most poor writing and event was the scene when the queen kills Boots without giving us the chance to see him confront both Tofun, Haniwa, and Baba! This is my only take on this episode. The drama between the two girls is promising, and we anticipate to see them meet again. But overall, killing Tamacti and reviving him like the stuff or events that happen in cartoons is so childish and contrived for now.
