There's the real Dorothy!
JaneBingley16 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I have disliked Dorothy since the very first episode in season one. I hated her when we learned what she did to her baby (and no, its not an accident, its a get out of jail card, used in USA). And finally, she reveals herself, for the demon she is.

Best Episode of the Series so far
Dmagic50005 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. That is all I can say after this episode.

M. Night Shyamalan brilliantly directs this episode.Every scene is oozing in brilliance. The way he chooses to shoot his scenes just adds so much tension and suspense throughout the episode. The way every night escalates, every time we see the clock hit 2:00, the tension rises as we wait in suspense to see to what lengths Dorothy will turn to next.

That leads me to my next bit of praise in this episode. The show has slowly started to turn from Leanne being the somewhat antagonist to Dorothy becoming the antagonist. By the end of this episode, Dorothy has turned full on villain mode. How far will she go? How will she react when she realizes that the real Jericho is actually gone and what she actually did?

The performances in this episode are all top notch. Nell Tiger Free has always been brilliant in the show, and this episode was some of her best acting. When she is talking with Toby Kebbell and she tells him the real Jericho is dead, her tone completely changes. It's unlike anything we've seen from Leanne until now. She doesn't speak in her usual high pitch, innocent sounding voice. It was low assertive and commanding. Nell Tiger Free deserves so much praise here.

Lauren Ambrose also deserves praise for this episode. She was absolutely terrifying in this episode. Gone are the days of pathetic, whiny Dorothy. This Dorothy, as she puts it, "takes care of it." Dorothy has gone completely nuts and Lauren Ambrose killed it in this episode.

This was an outstanding episode from beginning to end and I can't wait to see what else this season has in store!

M Night needs to direct the whole season.
rockingruby14 February 2021
In my opinion Servant just doesn't work as well without M Night directing. This is a Great episode but it's a shame that this is the only episode this season he directed, this show in my opinion lacks its full potential without M Night behind the camera.

The Complete Unravelling of Dorothy Turner
dog-385635 February 2021
At the beginning of this show, you think Dorothy is a pristine mother who has had unfortunate luck and Sean is a jerk of a husband. As the show progresses you slowly realize Dorothy is the real monster, and her demons are on full display in this episode. This show is an artistic view of parenthood, particularly dealing with aspects of abuse, neglect and coping with grief. This is an amazing slow burner and its not meant for people who enjoy hollow horror, sorry to break it to you.

Wow....

This is when you start to see that the slow burn is finally paying off. I think every episode is a bit tense and has the right writing and direction but this episode was by far the best. The cinematography of this show is superb. The shots make the scenes tense and they're also very creative. I am glad I gave this show a shot, I loved this episode. Amazing!

Episode 204

Warning: Spoilers
Why didn't she just overpower Dorothy earlier?

And he won't tell her, even after she tried to kill someone?

Just too ridiculous.

This episode keeps you on edge, brings in many elements of Hitchcock, multiple jaw dropping scenes, and the usual impressive camera angles that sucks you in. i was skeptical but i like where this season is going, can't wait for more.

I cannot dislike Dorothy any stronger
nicci19725 February 2021
There is no way anyone could empathize with her character no way especially with her hurting this girl and her husband and brother allowed women I can't take this anymore. I mean it's excellent writing but I really want Dorothy to get what she deserves; something bad happen to her.

Sean seriously didnt take her to the hospital after??? Then just bow to her stupid wife and then just took back upstairs. A normal person would send Dorothy to the grave. What a stupid episode.
