Sex & Nudity

  • Ronnie and Will kiss passionately in many scenes, although there is no sex - at the most, just some playful touching.
  • In a few beach scenes, Ronnie wears clothing that reveals her midriff and breasts.
  • A teenage guy tries to kiss and touch Ronnie while his girlfriend is watching. It looks very close to a possible rape, but Ronnie firmly tells him to never touch her again, and she leaves quickly.
  • A father tells his daughter's boyfriend not to "try anything" with her at the wedding they are attending.

Violence & Gore

  • A teenage girl is abused by her boyfriend. He pushes her around and even tries to grab her around the neck in one scene. Another guy stops him by punching him and giving him a bloody nose. The boyfriend leaves after that.

  • In one scene Ronnie is with people who are drunk but she refuses to drink.

  • A church fire is shown very briefly at the beginning of the movie. A man wrongly believes that he caused it, and he has a reputation around town for it.
  • A teenage girl frames Ronnie at a store by slipping an item into her purse. Ronnie is caught and believed to have shoplifted.
  • A teenage girl is abused by her boyfriend. Another guy gets into a fist fight with him while trying to stop him from hurting her.
  • A character describes a younger sibling who was killed in a car accident a year ago, and how it has affected the family.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A character dies from a longtime battle with cancer, and his funeral is seen. As Ronnie cares for him in his final days, he gets significantly weaker and has trouble walking. It is implied that he dies in his chair at home after knocking over a glass of water.
  • There are a lot of emotional crying scenes as a character's physical illness worsens.
