Moretz most recently starred opposite Euphoria‘s Algee Smith in the Mattson Tomlin-directed sci-fi thriller Mother/Android from Miramax and 6th & Idaho Productions, which was released on Hulu in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
She previously starred opposite Isabelle Huppert in Neil Jordan’s thriller Greta for Focus Features, as well as Roseanne Liang’s WWII horror Shadow in the Cloud, which claimed the Midnight Madness People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival in 2020.
Moretz, prior to those projects, led the gay conversion therapy drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post, which won both critical acclaim and the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2018. During its presentation at the Television Critics Association’s 2023 winter press tour, Paramount+ debuted new teaser art for the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard,” which premieres on Feb. 16. During the panel about the series however, the team behind the series didn’t seem so sure that this would be the end.
“Who knows?” executive producer Alex Kurtzman said when asked about the ending of the series, with star Patrick Stewart saying that if the show could “maintain the work quality” of the first three seasons, he would be open to reappearing. He also noted that the storylines of the final season intentionally “leave doors open.”
The series stars Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, who he played for seven seasons of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd also star.

Chloë Grace Moretz spoke bluntly to Hunter magazine about becoming a “recluse” after her body dysmorphia was exacerbated by “horrific” memes on social media, most notably one meme comparing her body to a “Family Guy” character. The viral meme, which ridiculed the actor’s body, was created after a photographer snapped a picture of Moretz walking into a hotel carrying a pizza box.
“Then came the onslaught of horrific memes that started getting sent to me about my body,” Moretz said. “I’ve actually never really talked about this, but there was one meme that really affected me, of me walking into a hotel with a pizza box in my hand. And this photo got manipulated into a character from ‘Family Guy’ with the long legs and the short torso, and it was one of the most widespread memes at the time.”

While season two of "Euphoria" left fans with plenty of questions, one of the most burning ones from the beginning of the season until the very end was: where the heck is McKay? The original trailers for season two raised alarm bells among fans because season one character Chris McKay (Algee Smith), Cassie's boyfriend, was noticeably absent, leaving fans to wonder if he's still going to be involved in "Euphoria." While Smith did appear in the season two premiere, it was only to officially end things with Cassie and break up Fez's fight with Nate. He did not appear in any further episodes. The question is, why?
What Happens to McKay in "Euphoria" Season 1?
We meet McKay in the first season, though he's not as present as the rest of the teens because he's older and already in college. He's been dating Cassie, but his struggles with college and football...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play cult leader Jim Jones and Chloë Grace Moretz will play a member of the Peoples Temple founder’s inner circle in “White Night,” a new film about one of the largest murder-suicides in history.
The Jonestown Massacre, as it is more commonly known, resulted in the deaths of more than 900 people, most of them Jones’ followers. Chloë Grace Moretz and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are set to star together in “White Night,” a psychological thriller inspired by the true story of the mass murder-suicide in the Jonestown cult in 1978.
Anne Sewitsky (“A Very British Scandal”) is directing the film that will star Gordon-Levitt as Jim Jones, the Christian socialist preacher, self-proclaimed God and cult leader, and Moretz as Deborah Layton, a woman who rose through the ranks of the cult and tried to expose Jones before it was too late.
“White Night” is based on Layton’s memoir “Seductive Poison,” and it details how on November 18, 1978, more than 900 people died in a mass murder-suicide, one of the largest on record. The massacre occurred at the Jonestown settlement that Jones established in Guyana in 1974, an extension of his San Francisco-based cult.
William Wheeler wrote the script based on Layton’s memoir.

Pregnancy is tough work. Getting pregnant on the cusp of robots flipping their programming switch and violently taking over the world? That seems pretty close to impossible. Unfortunately for them, these are the circumstances faced by Georgia (Chloë Grace Moretz) and her boyfriend Sam (Algee Smith) in Mattson Tomlin’s new Hulu release “Mother/Android,” the latest post-apocalyptic sci-fi action-adventure romance cobble of a bunch of different ideas you’ve seen before in slightly new packaging.

Ending a year begun saving her baby from a gremlin in deliberately outrageous “Shadow in the Cloud,” Chloë Grace Moretz again suffers peril-fraught maternity as half of the title equation in “Mother/Android.” This sci-fi thriller, launching on Hulu Dec. 17, offers a more sobersided survival tale set in an imminent future where humanity’s artificial helpmates have turned against their creators. It’s a familiar dystopian premise that plays out in narrative terms redolent of myriad recent movies like “A Quiet Place.”
Still, at least to a point, it’s lent sufficient engrossing urgency by Mattson Tomlin in his commercial-feature directorial debut. He wrote two other fantasy-tinged tales released last year, “Little Fish” and “Project Power.” This project is ostensibly more personal, inspired by the Romanian biological parents who apparently gave him up as an infant amidst the turmoil of that nation’s 1989 revolution. But “Mother/Android” falls short when it...

"They won't stop 'till we're all dead." Hulu has unveiled an official trailer for an intriguing sci-fi indie film titled Mother/Android, made by the screenwriter on The Batman and Little Fish. Mattson Tomlin has directed a few films before but this one is produced by Matt Reeves, and is both written and directed by Tomlin. Mother/Android is set during "an unexpected war with artificial intelligence." Georgia and her boyfriend Sam go on a treacherous journey to escape their country, which is caught in an unexpected war with A.I. Days away from the arrival of their first child, the couple must face No Man's Land, a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz and Algee Smith, with Raúl Castillo, Oscar Wahlberg, Kate Avallone, Owen Burke, and Steven Robertson. It looks like the same plot as Children of Men, but about androids taking over instead.
