Bon Jovi have announced a new album, Forever, out June 7th via Island Records. As a preview, the band has unveiled the video for its lead single, “Legendary.”
The pop-country-tinged track is anthemic and positive, fueled by major chords, “whoa-oh” choruses, and Jon Bon Jovi’s charismatic presence. The singer has battled vocal issues in recent years, but his voice sounds clean on the verses as backing vocals by the rest of the band supplement the song’s chorus.
“This record is a return to joy,” said Jon Bon Jovi via a press release. “From the writing, through the recording process, this is turn up the volume, feel good Bon Jovi.”
Bon Jovi are celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band this year. In addition to the new album, a career-spanning Hulu docuseries, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, is set to premiere on April 26th.

Starting this week, customers with Spectrum TV Select Plus plans will have free access to ESPN Plus as part of their service. The ESPN Plus app is available on Spectrum’s Internet-connected set-top boxes, including the Xumo Stream Box and most interactive cable boxes. ESPN+ is now available to Charter’s Spectrum TV Select Plus customers nationwide at no additional cost — coming after the cable operator added Disney+ for free earlier this year.
The addition of ESPN+, which regularly costs $10.99 per month, comes under Disney and Charter’s distribution agreement reached in September 2023 — following a 12-day blackout of ESPN and other Disney networks on Charter.
Charter’s activation of the ESPN+ direct-to-consumer inclusion offer means qualified Spectrum video customers can stream thousands of hours of live sports and original programming through the Xumo Stream Box or any other ESPN+ supported device.
Charter’s TV Select Plus customers who already have Disney+ as part of their Spectrum service can use their Disney+ account credentials so that both subscriptions are under one account; eligible customers who already have ESPN+ can go to the website where ESPN+ was purchased and use their existing sign-in credentials to manage...

Disney has been anointed the new streaming king after reporting it now counts 221.1 million total subscriptions between Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. That’s about 400,000 greater than Netflix’s Q2 tally of 220.67 million global paid members.
But is The Walt Disney Company truly the new leader in the ongoing streaming wars? An investigation.
The Case for Disney as New Streaming King Is Pretty Straightforward
As a company, Disney is now home to more streaming subscriptions than Netflix.
Disney+ alone added 14.4 million subscribers in the June quarter, when Netflix lost 970,000 global paid subscribers. (April to June is Netflix’s Q2 but Disney’s fiscal Q3.) Disney+ now has 44.5 million subscribers in the U.S. and Canada and another 49.2 million internationally (excluding Disney+ Hotstar).
The Hotstar brand of Disney+ adds another 58.4 million subscriptions, bringing the grand total of Disney+ subs to 152.1 million — a 31 percent improvement from the same quarter last year.

ESPN has clambered aboard the Nft bandwagon: The sports giant is going into business with Tom Brady, angling to sell fans on the idea of owning a digital piece of the famed NFL quarterback’s legacy.
ESPN inked a multiyear deal with Autograph, the Nft startup co-founded by Brady, to release its first nonfungible tokens. NFTs provide a way to authenticate ownership of digital content, using distributed blockchain networks — and media and entertainment companies have flocked to NFTs as a way to generate incremental revenue and boost fan loyalty.
The collaboration kicks off Wednesday (April 6) with the release of an Nft collection based on “Man in the Arena: Tom Brady,” the 10-part ESPN Plus documentary series produced by Religion of Sports, a media company in which Brady is also a co-founder.

The collaboration kicks off Wednesday (April 6) with the release of an Nft collection based on “Man in the Arena: Tom Brady,” the 10-part ESPN Plus documentary series produced by Religion of Sports, a media company in which Brady is also a co-founder.

Well, retirement didn’t last long.
Just weeks after announcing his retirement from the NFL, legendary quarterback Tom Brady announced he will star in and produce road trip comedy “80 for Brady,” starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Sally Field, and Rita Moreno as four friends who travel to the 2017 Super Bowl Li to see the New England Patriots quarterback play.
Based on a true story, “80 for Brady” will be directed by Kyle Marvin, who also co-wrote the script with Michael Covino, using a draft by “Booksmart” screenwriting duo Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins.
Marvin and Corvino will also serve as executive producers under their Watch This Ready banner, along with Jeff Stott.
While Brady has briefly dabbled in Hollywood, playing himself in both “Entourage” and “The Simpsons,” the all-star quarterback most recently produced ESPN Original documentary “Man in the Arena” about his own football career.
“80 for Brady” will begin production in spring 2022, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

ESPN’s Monday Night Football ended an eight-week year-over-year ratings win streak when Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ clobbered the lowly New York Giants this week.
The 30-10 game drew an audience of 12 million across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, which was down a bit from the previous Monday and by more than a million from the season-to-date average. The latter figure number, however, remains up by double digits over 2020.
Viewership peaked during the first half as the last-place Giants hung with the Super Bowl champion Bucs at Raymond James Stadium. But the home team scored all 13 points after that to stroll away with the win, and many viewers tuned out. The game did manage to be the most-watched primetime TV program on Monday.
