If you look at this film on the surface level, perhaps its gorgeous cinematography can distract you from its loose and barely-there plot. But if you paid any attention to its substance at all, you will be left sorely disappointed. The film's appeal hinges almost entirely on Chuando Tan's glistening abs and not a lot on his acting (or lack thereof). The film has been rated poorly by almost every critic, unsurprisingly. The plot has no pay-off, the pacing is inconsistent, and character arcs completely disappear minutes after they are introduced. Despite the high praise for its artistic camerawork and editing, the film doesn't have much else going for it.

Intriguing plot and beautifully shot scenes of 1960's Singapore. What started as a short film evolved into one of the first Singapore made films that was nominated Best Cinematography and Wardrobe Design for the 2020 Golden Horse Awards. Directed by Wayne Peng, produced by Lim Sau Hoong, the husband-wife team created a Singapore based murder drama featuring well known artistes Tay Ping Hui, Xiang Yun, Chen Yixin, Chuan Do and Taiwanese artistes Nan Yelp, Chang Tzulei. Wayne Peng, award winning director with an impressive 30 years of TV commercial directing unleashed his cinematographic prowess in their first attempt at a full length movie. Lim Sau Hoong, a veteran and award winning creative director, well known in the advertising world in Asia exceeded herself in designing tasteful costumes which defined the 60's era while exuding the sombre and mysterious aura that suffuse the movie.
