This Show's Writers Are As Amazing Writers As Emily Dickinson.

Just like Hailee Steinfeld said that this season will be even better than Season 1 and Season 2. I think it's really possible (Till now this season is not better than Season 1 or Season 2). First 3 episodes are Good. Not just SuEmily (Sue and Emily) , every character in this show is fun to watch (Especially Emily's mother and sister)

SEASON 3?
zardoxnet23 July 2022
I am not sure this series needed a 3rd season, the concept had kind of played itself out. I really irks me when there is so much modern language and mannerisms and portrayal of Emily Dickinson as a Civil War soldier, that just boggles the mind. I would doubt there was even a single femaie soldier on either side of the civil war, perhaps one or two in hidden disguises. I want to be woke, but come on, how does it help to re-write history completely. The only thing that saves this show is when the actual poetry of Emily Dickinson is recited...

Civil War Ruins Everything
solojere5 November 2021
Season 3 opens with Emily and the Dickinson family in the middle of the US Civil War and the death of Emily's Aunt. At the funeral, Emily is once again visited by the personage of Death, and Emily reveals that she no longer wants to seek fame but instead wants to do something that really matters. Emily tries to care for her family as their world seems to be falling apart. There are also some cute Suemily moments. It's a fantastic episode with a lot of contemporary references to 2020 and how things feel in our current moment. Like always, the show balances the past with a modern attitude. I can't believe this is the beginning of the end.

Warning: Spoilers
Jane Krakowski's work was great here as the grieving mother/sister, but the show seems to have run its course a bit. Not sure there is anywhere for Emily to really go from here.
