ROCK OBAMA is a musical comedy about President Obama and his run for the White House. Through flashbacks and silly musical numbers it tells his life story in only about 8 minutes! This short film manages to do something that is very difficult. It is able to appeal both to die-hard fans of Obama as well as those who dislike him intensely! And the best part of all this is that the jokes are all rather gentle and clever--never resorting to being mean-spirited or cruel. The funniest part, I thought, was his father appearing to him just like Mufasa from THE LION KING, but there are plenty of other parts of the film that made be smile. Heck, even during the final credits, I had a nice laugh.
