I think "discussion" suggests that there is more than one viewpoint presented

This is the featurette on the DVD of Things We Lost in the Fire. It consists of interviews, clips of the film and behind the scenes footage. Most things like this are pretty good, or at least decent. This one has very little information. A good deal of it is promotion and lovefest about the script(it's downright embarrassing when they talk about how enormously realistic it and its characters are), the cast and the crew. Yes, Del Toro is talented. Granted, sometimes Berry is great. We know. That's why we watch their movies. They also go into Biers style, and absolutely nothing that isn't obvious is said. Not one thing. Yes, you use extreme close-ups, including of eyeballs. We know. *I* realize that, and I've only seen one of your films. And Susanne, I'm sorry, but your mediocre grasp on the English language doesn't help matters in this documentary. I disagree with several of the things she says about this(particularly that Jerry is the only one that can help... that would be what you had to tell yourselves to make the plot work without explaining why there was no one else, why Audrey did not seek professional, psychological help, etc.), but she does make one or two points. There is disturbing content in this. I recommend this to those who liked the flick and you really want something like this. 6/10
