This is about the destruction of a time continuum and the whole gang is in the mix. It turns out our little autistic boy scorned was given tremendous power and there seems little limitation on what he is capable of when he loses his temper. He ultimately murdered the mothers of all the umbrella kids. He now has made some amends by saving them from the sparrows in a confrontation. Meanwhile, Five has made an enormous discovery when he finds his doppleganger in an iron lung which proves to be his death bed. Where do they go from here is the critical question. Where is the information going to come from?

Great episode

This episode takes the story in three different directions and still delivers a fun and enjoyable romp. I had a smile on my face from start to finish. There's a distinct undercurrent of irreverence which plays well through the ensemble cast.

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 4: Aside the bright beginning and the ending of the episode with very good VFX and felt emotions, the rest is mumbo fillers with set of scenes and some average contrived acting.
Whatever stories they wanna show us are dragged and horribly slow. The flow is disjointed, of little interest and contributes near nothing to the whole important picture.

This is a phenomenal episode. This season has literally been The Umbrella Academy on steroids. There is more substance and more importantly, a lot more style. The cinematografy is on par if not better than Peaky Blinders or Euphoria. The camera angles, lighting, and use of color makes every single frame a piece of art and I love it.
I really appreciate that the writers dared to go outside the box here. Now I agree the plot doesn't really move all that much from episode to episode but the character development is really well done.
Now we are not talking HBO levels of nice, but at the same time this show doesn't run at glacial speed. I had fun watching Five confront his older self and Lila and Diego falling down the mystery rabbit hole.
Lastly, The Grandfather Paradox! Very clever how they have woven a popular time travel problem into the storyline in a convincing and unique way.
Also, these epsidodes and especially this episode are so fun! I have a smile on my face from start to finish.

The series overall is quite good still, and the production values, character interactions, and plot twists are still fantastic.
And, I know this is a super hero show (of sorts), to say nothing of time travel and all the rest. And so, we're not dealing with reality.
But really? A Confederate flag and a white supremacist bar...in NYC? I mean, it strains credulity to suggest there'd be one in Alabama in the post-Obama world, but NYC? C'mon.
I just feel the writers could have done a better job if they were needing an on-demand conflict for a few of their characters, than stirring up some hackneyed political statement.
A lot of us like our entertainment to just be entertainment and let cheap shot political statements stay on the news channels.

Worse and worse

Whole third season is like an attempt to prolong one maybe interesting story to as long as possible. First season was interesting, logical in most parts and I enjoyed to watch it on one go. Second one was bit more messy, plot holes and over-combinations were more and more present, but still it was quite a good show.
Third one, logic took vacation and plot holes and in overall believability went out by the window. Characters have huge twists in reasoning, some like would switch their personality in total which in the whole series is couple of days, intense but couple of days not years to switch from normal, logical and calm person to irrational psychopath.
What would solve one call, it is spread out on 3-4 parts. Did you notice no one use mobile phones, in 1963 quite believable, not in other times. Took it as different reality, but then why everyone is acting the way of not talking to anyone else, not even a note "hey we have a suitcase..."...
