I'm a dung beetle and this was the ball I obsessed over

Warning: Spoilers
I made an IMDB account just to rant into the void.

I think the first season was better than the second, it actually had me laughing out loud at points. That's all I really have to say about the first season itself, aside from pacing and mean-spirited jokes that made me sad.

BUT ALIVE IS THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.

The thing about Alive was that its pacing was WORSE than the original, HOW did it fumble so bad. It started introducing new characters during the 7th episode?? There's only 12 episodes in Alive and we meet Kanoko's younger sister, ON EPISODE 11???? WHAT. They're cramming this story in like a test they forgot to study for.

OVERALL, a good majority of the characters are just the worst people ever. They took the ID Channel and molded the main cast of the Maria Holic anime into their favorite Dateline criminals.

Maybe that's a little dramatic but that's how the anime version of the characters feels.

(Not that the manga is much better but at least they have depth there.)

anyways, nice series ;b.

Has Always Held a Special Place

I'm going to be honest, this is one of my favorite animes specifically because it involves josou seme with a female sub. Which is all too incredibly rare. Josou seme is already rare in the trap genre, and what little there is, is almost always yaoi. If there is a woman in a trap anime/manga, usually it involves femdom -.- So this was an interest reprieve for me

If you're not into josou seme, or if you're offended by the idea of a lesbian being trapped and humiliated by an otokonoko, you won't like this lol

Even if you are into those things, you may or may not like it. I can't say it's a great anime in terms of quality or jokes. But I can say that I, personally, enjoyed it completely.

A very average anime

I recently finished watching this anime and I must say, I wasn't so impressed. The first few episodes were good, it made me want to watch more. When I was half way into the series, it got boring, the story got repetitive, but I did manage to finish the season. If you are going to watch this anime, I suggest stopping after the first season. Don't keep your hopes up that its going to get better. Compared to other anime like 'The Familiar of Zero' the comedy wasn't so good as it focused on only one point, and no touching moments.

To sum it up the anime is very unique but in a bad way, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Funny at first, but got bad pretty fast

When I started watching I already expected the anime to be a bit ridiculous - it's supposed to be a parody after all. So I tried not to think too much of it and just enjoy the over-the-top humor. Well, at first it was funny, but it soon became clear that this anime is extremely offensive. That a*hole Maria kept on abusing Kanako, both mentally and physically, using the fact that he looked like a girl to mess with her head. Hs maid usually joined him as well. Basic bullying, but for some reason, I feel like the show tried to portray Maria as a good person underneath those layers of pure evil. Say what? And it also bothered me that Maria kept on insisting he didn't like to crossdress when in truth it couldn't be more obvious that he enjoyed being a girl. No one was forcing him, and after learning a reason as to why he was doing it, it was clear he could've stopped if he truly hated it so much. But I guess that would hurt his male pride?

So, to sum this up; it's about a cross-dressing boy bullying a lesbian who's high on hormones (like so many other teenagers, but since her attention is directed at girls, not boys it's somehow "wrong"). I feel like it's giving a seriously bad message, the worst part the fact that the bullies aren't portrayed as doing anything wrong, but like the victim deserved it. Not okay.

The only good thing about this was art. Sometimes it was funny too, but only when the humor wasn't drawn from abusing the MC.

Pure stupid and distasteful

Warning: Spoilers
I feel that its taken the p*ss of Yuri way too far. I think the fact we see a cross dressing boy just manipulating a poor heartsick girl, makes it seem to me that its giving mix of messages.

Some of the messages I thought was giving here was that young boys dressing up crossdressers are evil and young girls who are dying to have a lesbian relationship should be ashamed. Both are just not true and the fact those thoughts of messages I come across, really irritated me while watching this anime!

People who see this anime might have different opinions but thats how I felt while watching two eps. Two eps was all it needed me to realise its one of the completely rubbish anime I've ever come across here!
