- TriviaThe program begins in an art gallery with several paintings of clowns. A sign proclaims "Portraits by Red Skelton - Age 42." This is one of the earliest acknowledgments of Skelton's interest and talent in painting. The Redettes open with a production number to "I Love Paris." The plot of this episode revolves around Red's trip to Paris to study art under the instruction of a famous French Art Professor. Red paints a still life of a tomato that is so well accepted by the Professor that he enters the picture in a French art contest, to be held one week hence. Red needs to earn some money while he is staying in the city, so the Professor gets him a job as a gigolo at a Paris café. At the café, Red, playing Pierre the Gigolo, meets guest Abbe Lane, as Mademoiselle LaCranberry. They dance a tango and sip champagne. When the judges appear at the Professor's art studio for the contest, Red wins first prize.
