- The Robinsons race to get help for Will, warn the colonists and activate a secret defense system. Vijay tags along with Penny on a risky outing.
- The Robinsons finally get to Alpha Centuari, but discover peril waiting for the when they find out that SAR and the other robots are plan to sabotage the power to the planet's defense system, which is the only thing protecting the Centauri colony from imminent attack.—Gislef
- Jupiter 2 emerges from the rift near Alpha Centauri, and enters the planet's orbit. There's no sign of alien ships, and Judy report that Will is holding stable. They go in for a closer look, and Operations contacts them and tell them that they're cleared for landing. Smith asks Judy if they're good, and Judy says that they agreed to let karma handle Smith.
The group takes Will to medical, and John tells robot to stay on the ship so they don't scare the colonists. The staff let the family in, but keep Don and Smith out. The doctor promises the Robinsons that Will is going to make it, and Judy stays to get something for her shoulder while the others go to watch the others.
Smith goes into a room where Captain Radic is being unfrozen, then goes home.
John and Maureen go out of the building, and confirm there's still no sign of the alien robots in the sky. Victor and some of the other colonists approach and greet them. Maureen tells them they have bad news. Meanwhile, Penny comes out and finds Vijay nearby. Before he can give her the present he has for her, Liam comes up with flowers and hugs Penny, then gives her the "humming" Alpha Centauri flowers. Vijay makes a comment about how they smell, and Penny agrees. Penny thanks Liam and he kisses her. After a moment, Vijay tells Penny that he hopes Will is okay. As Vijay starts to go, Penny says there's something both of them should know.
John and Maureen, along with Victor, go to tell the colony chancellor about the robots. They all wonder where the robots are, and the chancellor says that they haven't had time to work on a defense system.
Judy is watching as the doctor surgically give Will an artificial heart. Penny joins her and wonders how they can stop SAR is Will couldn't.
Victor tell John and Maureen that the bulk of their energy is hydroelectric, and it's not sufficient to make another kill box like the one they used against the robots the last time. Maureen checks the power grid and discovers the settlement is making more power than it needs. John and Maureen have the same idea, and John asks where the colony keeps its prisoners.
The couple go to see Alistair Hastings, and tell him the robots know the location of Alpha Centauri. They figure the chancellor has been kept in the dark, and tell Hastings that he's going to die today with his secrets intact unless he helps them. Hastings admits that they prepared a hidden system of EMFs to defend the colony if necessary, says that he's the only living person who has them, and offers them the keys to the system in return for them getting his authority restored. John figures as a contingency, Hastings made sure someone else has the keys, and figures they can find that person. Hastings says that he "removed" all the permission keys, and he's the only one on the planet who can save everyone.
Over the radio, Robot hears that Hastings is being transferred, says "Danger", and leaves the ship.
John and a security guard take Hastings to his home, and Hastings talks about Kelly. The Robot stands outside and John sees it, and he tells Hastings to stay inside and goes out into the nearby forest. Hastings removes a hidden piece of paper from a safe, only for Robot to knock out the guard. John realizes he's been lured away and runs back to the house, and finds Hastings dead on the floor. The password for the system is on a note clutched in Hastings' hand.
An alert from John goes out warning that Robot is dangerous. John gives Maureen the paper, and they figure he'll look for Robot while Maureen gets the defense system up. Maureen wonders why SAR is waiting, and John suggests that it's planning. He figures the robots will it them differently than the last time.
Grant, Judy, and Penny find Maureen, who tells them what happened. They suggests Robot may have been manipulated like he was before. As the sisters leave, the doctor approaches Maureen and tells her that Will is in recovery and can receive visitors now. As she goes, Maureen asks Grant to meet her at the ops center.
John takes a chariot and through the nearby forest with a search party, looking for Robot. Victor is with John, and they discuss how Robot doesn't have "humanity"..
On Jupiter, Penny and Judy discuss whether they need Robot or not to defend against SAR. Judy points out that Robot might no longer be on their side, Penny figures they need to find Robot before John does and confirm it's innocent or guilty, and Judy say that they're going to need help.
At medical, Judy holds the unconscious Will's hand. Will wakes up and asks where everyone is, and she tells him that they're all on Alpha Centauri, including Robot. She says they're working on defending against SAR. Maureen assures him that he didn't fail to save everyone, and tells her son about the planet's defense system. Will tells his mother that there's something else he needs to do.
Smith pulls up at the lake where she was going to build her home, and Robot comes up to her, its faceplate glowing red. She begs it to let her help, and it walks past her.
At the ops center, Maureen, Sebastian, and Grant go over Hastings' list of words on the note. Maureen figures they're an access code, and Grant figures it's a voice authentication system. He privately tells Maureen that his mission 20 years ago was to investigate a rift in space that NASA scientists discovered. Their mission was encoded in a similar fashion.
Judy and Penny approach Don to help them, and he initially refuses to help them. He wants a proclamation that they need his expertise as a smuggle to find the hiding Robot, and Penny points out that otherwise people will find out that he let them go alone. Don gives in, but they hear Vijay in the ship. He comes in and tells them that he thought and Penny and he should talk if SAR is coming. Vijay insists he's going with them, and Judy immediately agrees.
Victor talks to John about how it's human to lose control and make mistakes, protecting one's family. He tells John to forgive himself, but John blames himself for not protecting Will. They pick up Robot on the scanners, at the top of the dam.
Judy and the others are in a chariot, and see Robot on the dam. Don says that they can get their first if they go on first, parks the chariot, and Don leads them to the elevator inside the dam.
Amanda Adler brings her sons to see Will when Will asks to see them, and he tells the boys about their father Ben had a robot friend, Scarecrow, and because Ben was a friend to Scarecrow, all the children got away and Ben is a hero. Amanda thanks Will and leaves with her son, and she says that she wishes her husband was still there. Once he's alone, Will takes his wrist unit, calls Maureen, and tells her to talk to Amanda.
Maureen and Grant go to see Amanda at the latter's home and show her the passwords, and Maureen figures that Ben was Hastings' ally. Amanda looks for any old recording or voicemails that would have Ben saying the words, at any time.
As they go to the dam, Penny and Judy talk about Grant being back, while Vijay walks with Don who tells the boy that he should walk with Penny instead. Vijay figures he and Penny are better as friends, and Don tells him to figure out what Penny wants. They get to the dam and Don says that he'll get them in.
Robot burns through a sealed dam door, its faceplate still red, and continues on.
Don uses a code he has for the dam to get in the door, from when he stored boozed there.
Maureen and Grant go through Ben's old vocal recordings, and Grant asks why Maureen didn't tell him about Judy. She says that she tried but NASA said it would be a cruel distraction. She figures it wouldn't have stopped Grant from taking on the mission, and Grant tells her that she's done an incredible job with all of her children. She says Grant's mother was always there for Judy, as was John, and they both agree that John is a good man.
Don and the others find the elevator, and Judy says that they should let Penny talk to Robot because she's the closest to it after Will. The elevator stops partway up, and they emerge and find marks on the wall from another robot. They hear blast fire from more than one robot, and Penny figures the other robots are already there. The walls are too thick for them to get a signal out to the colonists, and Don figures the robots are saboteurs undermining the power from the dam to the defenses. Judy proceeds on foot to stoop the robots.
Once they have Benn saying the words, Maureen and Grant go back to ops and use Sebastian's workstation to enter them. The defense system activates.
Judy and the others follow the trail of destruction, and find the alien robots taking out the dam's turbines. Don suggests they override the turbines, speeding up and destroying any robots on the blades. He figures that the defense system can be powered by the two remaining turbines. He isn't sure, but figures they don't have any other options. Vijay points out that the governor is deep in the water beneath the turbines, and Don says that he'll do it. Judy says that she'll do it and goes to the water.
John and Victor arrive at the dam and see Judy on the monitors. Realizing what Judy is doing, John tells Victor to call Maureen and tell her what's going on, while he goes to help Judy.
Judy finds a robot in the water tank and it climbs out to attack her. Robot arrives.
Sebastian tells Grant and Maureen that two of the turbines are redlining, and they have to hope the third one holds.
John arrives and pulls Judy way, while the robot and three others of its kind advance on Robot. Outnumbered, Robot smashes open a nearby tank, and the released water sweeps the four robots out the dam. John and the others emerge from hiding, and the others figure one of the robots framed Robot for killing Hastings. Robot's faceplate returns to blue, and it confirms the four robots were all that were there.
As they go, Vijay tells Penny that he doesn't think he can be what she wants, and he's not okay just being with friend with her. He admits that he's impressed with her, and more special that she gives herself credit for. Vijay says that she doesn't have to be with her, but she's the hero and doesn't need Liam to be the hero. Penny thanks him but says she's not the person she thinks he is, and doesn't him to be disappointed when he realizes. He says she wants to let him say he told her so when she realizes he's right, but Penny jokingly refuses.
Smith goes back to her chariot and gets a message that the robot alert is all-clear. She tells the autopilot that she wants to go to work.
Maureen calls John and tells him to get back as soon as he can, and then tells Sebastian to shut down everything in the settlement to keep the defense system powered. The power goes out as the third turbine goes down.
In medical, the backup generators kick in. Will wakes up and realizes what's happening.
The technicians detect energy spikes outside the atmosphere, approaching Alpha Centauri. Maureen tells the others that the robots are coming.
