You don't deserve to be a mum!

A mixed-race parents, just divorced, were making a public statement on TV about her missing daughter. Meanwhile, two Latvian guys were looking for scraping metal in a dump when they bumped into a child dead body. Detectives soon try to realize the victim whereabouts the day she disappeared. A cab took her from school to a guitar lesson but, due to traffic jam, the driver left her a block before. Thanks to a CCTV camera, Brooks and Devlin presume she was kidnapped by a white van owned by a glazier company. Shortly after they catch the kidnapper, but after he is bailed out the child's mother (Anna Madeley) stabs him dead outside the courthouse. You could think she's an hero, as reported by the press, but the truth is much different.

This episode shows us that sometimes even a disturbed junkie can mock Criminal Justice System; law has to be followed, almost till a suspect is convicted by a jury, otherwise we run the time machine back to Far West.

Warning: Spoilers
I would have loved this episode however only the day before I had seen Law and Order season 6 episode 1 and I recognised not only the story but the script.

At one stage I was pretty well saying the words with each character. The differences only came with football clubs verses baseball clubs, locations, and using a knife not a gun - cultural differences there. Seriously did no one consider that anyone would notice..... now I want to look for more matching episodes.

I will say that both programs were brilliantly acted, and the production was excellent. The UK storyline also included a regular character's backstory.
