- Wanda wakes up and discovers that Vision isn't in bed next to her.
Talking to the camera, Wanda says that they've all had days when they've expanded the walls of the false world they've create.
When Wanda goes back to bed and covers her head with the covers, Billy and Tommy come in and ask if she's getting up soon, because their video game is freaking out. The controllers are changing eras, and eventually turn into Uno cards. Billy complains that there are voices in his head, and Wanda tells her sons that she's just resting their lives.
Wanda says that she's just taking a whole day to herself
When Wanda takes the covers off of her bed, she discovers that she's wearing her Halloween costume. She goes downstairs wearing a bathrobe, goes to the refrigerator and gets some almond milk and cereal. The almond milk on the counter turns into a less modern container of milk, and keeps changing as she pours from it onto her cereal.
Wanda dismisses the whole thing as a case of the Mondays.
The opening credits play. Wanda's name is on everything.
At the SWORD temporary retreat eight miles outside of Westview, Hayward joins an agent at looking at the expanded barrier. The broadcast signal is gone, and Hayward tells the agent that they'll launch that day.
Vision wakes up in the middle of the circus that was the SWORD base before the barrier expanded. The Strongman comes over and asks Vision if he's the new clown, and tells him that he's late for rehearsal with the escape artist. The escape artist is Darcy, and Vision comes over and recognizes her from the previous night when he saw the SWORD base. She walks off and Vision goes after her.
Wanda checks with Tommy and Billy, and they haven't seen Vision either. Billy asks about what Pietro said the night before about rekilling Vision, and Wanda tells him not to believe anything Pietro says because he's not their uncle. When Tommy asks who he is, Wanda says that she's their mother but doesn't have any answers. and she's starting to believe that everything is meaningless.
Wanda figures that she went dark, but her sons can handle it given their father has vibranium skin.
As Wanda sits down her sons, Agnes arrives and offers to take the boys with her so Wanda can have some "me" time. Tommy is reluctant, figuring someone should be there with Wanda. Wanda assures her sons that they'll be fine . As Wanda settles down with a bowl of cereal, the house furnishing change to different eras. Wanda uses her magic to restore them to normal.
Wanda insists that she's fine.
Monica and Jimmy drive away from town, and Jimmy checks what Darcy found on the other side of the firewall. There were a lot of R&D files for "Project Cataract", which reveal that Hayward was trying to bring Vision back online. Nothing worked until Wanda stole Vision's body. They figure that Hayward wants his sentient weapon back, and Jimmy says that someone has to tell Wanda.
Jimmy and Monica come to the soldiers they're rendezvousing with, including Major Goodner. Goodner shows them a SWORD space rover that they built from Monica's specs.
At the circus, Vision tries to get Darcy to stop and listen to him. She doesn't believe him until he uses his memory-restoring power on her. Darcy gives Vision her real name, and tells him that she has answers for his questions. When the Strongman comes over and says that they have a show, Darcy punches him to the ground and runs off with Vision. They get into a funnel cake van, and drive off.
The house furnishing keep changing on Wanda.
Wanda says that she doesn't understand why reality is falling apart and she can't fix it. The director unexpectedly asks if it's what Wanda deserves, and she points out that the director isn't supposed to talk.
An ad for Nexus Anti-Depressant runs.
At her house, Agnes sits down with the boys. Billy says that he likes it there because it's quiet in his mind, He points out that Agnes is "quiet" on the inside, and Tommy asks if she thinks Wanda is okay. Agnes assures the boys that Wanda is, and says that Wanda can do anything.
Agnes admits it's difficult to tell a son that his mother is nuts.
At Goodner's camp, Monica dons a spacesuit, and tells Jimmy that she'll get Darcy out. She gets into the rover and drives it into the barrier. The barrier density matches the rover, and it starts being rewritten. Monica manages to get out, and the barrier spits the vehicle, partially transformed. Monica figures that she can get through and walks into the barrier, and as she goes through experiences memories from her past. Her eyes glow blue, and Monica emerges into the town. Monica can perceive the town's electromagnetic frequencies for a moment until her vision clears. She shrugs off the spacesuit and goes to find Wanda.
Darcy and Vision drive into Westview, and Darcy tells Vision that he asked Wanda to kill him to save half of the universe. It worked until the bad guy rewound time to kill Vision again, and Vision had to watch. They come to another red traffic light.
Vision says that he thinks Wanda is creating impediments to stop him from coming home.
A repair crew sets up at the intersection, blocking the truck, to work on the traffic light. Meanwhile, Vision wonders what he is now, and Darcy admits that she doesn't know. She wonders why Vision can't leave the hex, but tells Vision that the love he and Vision have is real.
Monica runs into Westview and goes into Wanda's house. Wanda wonders how Monica got there, and uses her magic to push her out of the house, saying she doesn't want to hear about the missiles or Pietro. Wanda slams Monica to the ground, and Monica's eyes glow blue again and says that the only lies she's said are the ones Wanda put in her mouth.
Wanda's hands glow with magical power, and Monica tells her to do it. When Wanda hesitates, Monica tells her that Wanda shouldn't let Hayward make her the villain. Wanda wonders if she already is. Agnes watches from her house window and goes back.
Monica tells Wanda that she's not afraid of her, and she can't change losing her mother... because it's her truth. Agnes walks up and tells Wanda that she's been through enough, and Monica has overstayed her welcome. She escorts Wanda away, and Wanda tells Monica not to make her hurt her.
The crew wrap up their work, but a crossing guard comes out and holds up a stop sign, and school children walk by.
Vision says that for Wanda it's been weeks. Then he wonders why he's sitting there talking to the camera, and goes to find Wanda.
Vision phases through the roof of the truck and flies into Westview.
Agnes takes Wanda to her home and goes to make her a cup of tea. Wanda notices the food her sons were eating, and wonders where they are. Agnes calls back from the kitchen saying that they're probably playing in the basement. Wanda goes downstairs to the basement and finds an arcane chamber and no sign of the twins. Agnes comes in, seals the doors, introduces herself as Agatha Harkness, and says that it's good to finally meet Wanda.
A commercial for "Agnes All Along" plays, complete with a catchy theme song. It reveals that Agatha has been doing everything, including making Pietro appear and killing Sparky.
Monica finds the cellar door to Agnes' house. Pietro speeds up next to Monica.
