I'm not sure
taysays12 February 2021
There were a few good moments with characters like Kaleb (as always), MG, the twins, and Alyssa. I also found myself enjoying Ethan.

But overall, this fell flat. It is sad to see Hope Mikaelson, a lead character of much potential, be reduced to a love interest, but that is what she has been in this show. Fingers crossed that this changes, and that her development shifts away from being centered and tied to a romantic interest. This season can save itself by letting her branch out and reminding the viewers that she is indeed a legacy of Klaus Mikaelson, not just an overprotective girlfriend. Romance should not make up all of a lead's material.

If I could give it zero stars I would

This episode was probably the worst episode of television I have ever seen. The show refuses to give their main female lead a storyline that does not revolve around her boyfriend, and this episode just made it crystal clear that they don't ever intend to. Literally every other scene with Hope was her making out with Landon and nothing else. There were some good aspects, I suppose, such as Josie, Lizzie, and Kaleb and Jed, but their screen time was so minimal and drowned out by the overbearing Landon nonsense that it was not enough to save this episode. Not to mention, plot wise I had no idea what was going on. It was like it was moving too slow and too fast at the same time. Nothing was explained and the writing was extremely lazy, random, and very confusing. This was not at all enjoyable. Do not waste your time with this show.

WORST EPISODE I'VE EVER SEEN
mnbvcxz-9395013 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Truly the worst episode of Legacies. It didn't feel like finale, there wasn't any high stakes. Everything just came together for them easily( seriously? another prison world?!). Hope was focused only on Landon, not on actual fight against Necromancer and protecting the city and the students. After coming back from Malivore they didn't even check on anyone, like how does that make sense?!

Getting really bored with the stupid Necromancer and with Malavore. It's time to wrap them up and move on.

Awful
tateandvioletzoeandkyle12 February 2021
Its frustrating to see that the writers don't care at all about their female lead. This episode show that Hope is nothing but a one dimensional character with no personality of her own except babysitting her boyfriend. She appeared in only landon related scenes or just to make out with him. The show is completely destroying their female lead. Hope is not what she was promised to be in season 5 of the originals, she is only the girl who constantly runs after landon to make out even when her friends are in danger. In terms of plot, it was also horrific. It was messy and confusing and boring. Nothing interesting happened. No actions had any sort of consequences and nothing added to the development of the characters. They completely forgot about how difficult it was to make a prison world in The Vampire Diaries. And their explanation for the celestial event was lame and pathetic. More than an actual episode, this was 45 minutes of landon and hope making out in the middle of the apocalypse. The amount of screen time given to handon scenes was really damaging for the overall story of the episode. Legacies needs to up the game because at this point is about to become a Disney show instead of the legacies of TVD and TO. Also, I would give 0 stars but that's not possible on the website.

cara99-325-25346416 February 2021
Another episode this season that reduces the main hope to side character she used to be strong independent character but now it seems can't have a storyline that doesn't involve Landon the only good thing in this episode was the acting it was just another episode in which Landon and hope relationships takes up 85% of screen time

3 stars only because of The Necromancer, zero stars without him.

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 4 of Legacies Season 3 originally was supposed to be Season 2 finale, but in hindsight 2x16 served as a better season's finale. Overall this episode is a pure mess. The only thing, that makes the episode worth watching after all is The Necromancer's character. As always Ben Geurens does an awesome job playing him and his character is also the only reason, that made me enjoy at least some scenes. However the writing doesn't do his character justice at all, mainly because for some unknown reasons the writers decided to put the focus on Landon and Malivore, when it should have been on Hope and The Necromancer. After all their interaction was one of the highlights of Season 1, so I was always hoping to see their relationship getting explored more. Unfortunately that didn't happen here. Instead we get a storyline, that contradicts both seasons of Legacies. For some unknown reasons the writers thought it was a good idea to make Landon fuse with Malivore and portray him as the "hero" of the episode, making him fight The Necromancer, while Hope is put in the background. It doesn't only contradict the storyline- for 2 seasons everyone stated Malivore getting Landon would be the worst thing to happen (ironically for the viewer it was after all, because their fusion was just cringy)- it also makes no sense for the main characters to team up with the ultimate evil to stop The Necromancer. To make things worse The Necromancer isn't allowed to use any of his powers or to put any of his plan into motion, what would have been more exciting. This of course also has to do with the decision of the writers to make a musical episode, basically a filler, instead of focusing on The Necromancer's plan. Consequently it just feels rushed putting everything in one episode.

While I'm very happy, that The Necromancer wasn't killed off- he's just a way too awesome character for that- the way it was resolved (putting him into a prison world with zero effort) just feels lazy. The writers really couldn't come up with something better.

Also annoying is the hypocrisy of the show- Alyssa's character, that is as responsible for the murders happening in that episode as The Necromancer gets a happy ending, while he's the only character, that has to face any consequences. Alyssa is a good example for a rushed & a redemption story arc going wrong.

What ultimately ruined the episode was Landon's character. On the first look he's supposed to be the cute, supportive, nice boyfriend, when he actually isn't any of that. Instead his character is a good example for toxic masculinity and fragile male ego. All he is doing, is being intimidated by Hope's powers and her saving the day. His desperate desire to be special leads to the most illogical plot twist (fusing with Malivore) without even thinking of the consequences.I don't know, why the writers are so obsessed with the most boring character on the show. Instead of giving their main character, Hope and their charismatic villain, The Necromancer their moment to shine, they put uncharismatic Landon and a mud golem in the spotlight. A decision I will never understand and something I also never wanted to see. Not to mention the sick first time of Hope and Landon we are forced to witness at the end of the episode. Traumatizing Hope by turning Landon to literal mud. It's just sick and disgusting. I don't know, why the writers are so obsessed with mud.

My only hope after this episode is, that we will see The Necromancer again soon. He deserves better and Legacies definitely needs his character.

It's time to start to honour the true legacy of Tvd and To
viivischroderus14 February 2021
I gave this entire show 9/10 stars because it's related to Tvd and To. Without them I woul've dropped the number down at least for two. We're so done with this whole Malivore and monster plot, can we pls move on already? Even in Tvd they didn't get stuck in one plot twist for several seasons...

And I think those monsters are just too much. They're way too childish to the audience of Tvd and To. I think this show should honour the precious legacy that those shows left behind. But instead of that we're getting some mud monsters and flying fire dragons... Please. Seriously?

And it's also time to move on with those relationships. We've seen enough Handon, what about something else? And you need to add more characters and themes from Tvd and To and make this show more mature. This is not going to succeed on this way. I wanna see some old, familiar faces and feel my heart beating out of excitement and cry my eyes out of the joy of reunion.

0 stars if I could.
Gracie12315 February 2021
This season has already shown that nothing will change and the writers don't listen to anything the audience is asking! Hope was Hope mikaelson for a few episodes in the first season but then turned into her boyfriends pet and barely does anything anymore. I'm not watching anymore, you've lost a fan and will lose many. Disappointed. Good luck on the rest of the series lol..

Horrible episode
zbynmt13 October 2021
This episode, which was initially the season 2 finale pre covid, was just horrible. The effects are declining significantly. Landon is dragging down Hope's character big time, she is in desperate need of a storyline outside of him.
