The catacombs
Calicodreamin14 June 2021
This episode was the best of season 2 so far, bringing back the vibe and cool capers that were so prevalent in S1. Storyline was well developed and good acting.

The final come

Still interesting and we follow Assane and his friend. Assane have some problems and need to escape the police for an other reason now. We follow the escape trough all the episode and we feel now that the last episode will reveal all the secrets of Pelligrini or not. And maybe they have more to expect. Need to see the last episode.

Nice Work--But Careless
Hitchcoc9 October 2023
Assane and his friend are being pursued because that hit man was strangled in his apartment. This leads to a chase through catacombs after the duo has holed up in a storage unit which has been retrofitted as a mini apartment. An escape route was made known years ago when Assane was a child. This episode was more fun because it was a basic chase and hide thing where wits were more important than a bunch of preconceived strategies. The policeman that no one takes seriously is digging and finding things that are incriminating, but he has respect of Assane and it will be interesting to see how everything fall out.

Chapter 9

Just when you thought Assane had the upper hand.

Pellegrini fixes that Assane is in the frame for murder.

Dumont makes sure that Assane is public enemy number 1 in France.

Both Benjamin and Assane are on the run. The catacombs provide a means of escape.

However the stories of Lupin and Assane's past come to their aid. The Catacombs has passages not open to the public.

A riveting episode, It sees both Benjamin and Assane exposed. They are no longer hidden.

Assane has his work cut out for the climax.

Sillier and sillier

Warning: Spoilers
Imagine you are Assane's good friend Benjamin.

You know Assane has a secret hideaway that he has prepared in case he should ever need to flee in a hurry. In fact, based on what we know as this episode develops, you probably have helped him prepare it, stock it, prepare an escape route (just in case) and all the rest of it. You are intimately aware of its existence and its location and the need to keep it absolutely secret just in case Assane, and possibly yourself, ever need to flee because of pursuit by either some unknown enemy or even the police, given Assane's profession and your having assisted him in disposing of the odd trinket on the black market.

So what do you do? Do you commit the address of this secret hideaway to memory? Swear yourself to total secrecy? Promise not to tell a single person? Well, probably you do all that, but just to be sure you never forget, you also write the address down in big block letters on a piece of paper which you are sure to leave on top of everything else in the top right corner of your office desk where you can be sure your pursuers will be sure to find it after a mere two minute search, exclaiming, "I think I know where they've gone!".

Could anything be sillier? I would suggest not.

"Worser and worser" if you'll excuse the expression.

Can't wait to see how the series winds up in the final episode though and whether the writers can sink any lower their desperation. I'm just praying it doesn't end with a cliff-hanger forcing us to endure another series.
