Ben's big day has arrived, waiting for the best man to arrive he suffers major jitters, supported by his mum, she spots an unwelcome guest in The Church, who turns the day upside down.
I thought this was a decent episode, it's not one of the best, but it's watchable. Efforts were made to build a story, but it just felt like twenty nine years of recriminations and hate pouring out. It was loaded with awkwardness, and mystery, we didn't learn enough about the surprise visitor, we needed some of the blanks filled in.
Best scene coming at the end, despite all he's been through, Ben still manages to show a bit of humanity, and prove that he has moved on.
I thought the acting was decent, Mark Womack did a very good job with his character. Nico Mirallegro and
Marie Critchley are always good to watch.
You could see that this was perhaps made with several restrictions in place, a small cast, and elements of social distancing.
I can't believe this series is still running, bit it's still got stories to tell, this one was ok, 6/10.
