Prince did not meet with art director Stephen Rice until he arrived at the empty soundstage. Rice and crew worked 32 hours straight, including having flooring flown in from Las Vegas, to build and change the set around during filming. Prince remained on set and was available the entire time.
15 super models, including Barbara Lee and Tracy Hudson, were taught the choreography on the set by Sean Cheesman.
Co-director Randee St.Nicholas, a long-time Prince photographer, spent 25 years photographing the Purple One. The result is "My Name Is Prince", a gorgeous - and massive - book of photos and memories of the icon.
