Loose Ends

Warning: Spoilers
So, they're all going to be together now and they just forget the teased separation? Oh well.

The show was solid tonight, but we need a good finale because Season 5 has just not been up to par.

"Pete flushed the ___"

Warning: Spoilers
This means WAR.

In all honesty, this season has been a pleasant surprise once again. With the departure of Smurf, I expected a decent drop-off, though at the same time they ended the season so well with so many things hanging in the balance. It was only right that it was time for the Codys to develop on their own.

When I rank great shows I usually look for one or two things that the show is exceptional at, with the rest having to be very good at least. Animal Kingdom is exceptional at intertwining timelines with the new/old cody families. What i'm really hoping for as both stories develop/unravel, the new Codys(J, Pope etc) sharpen up as much as the old Codys.

All of the old Codys heists go off without a hitch and they score BIGTIME almost each time, with only 3 of them. We can't say so much for the new Codys, though they are improving and with this next heist, if the intertwining continues, i'm looking forward to them stepping up to the plate.

As for characters I think boths Old and New Smurf are exceptional characters, both versions of Pam as well. Pope is getting his shine and showing up, J is still J from last finale (good thing). I say that to say this show is close to reaching G. O. A. T status, we just need a few more characters that can become irreplaceable in televison history. I think both Janines & Pams did that, with Pope on his way, with J a close third. I'm excited to see what happens.

This whole season has dragged

Warning: Spoilers
We had an exciting heist at the beginning of the season where they got the dope from the plane and then it has been mediocre excitement for the rest of the season and Sunday night was no exception.

We have come to expect more.

I understand they are trying to build the "80's" Smurf but come on guys. A little more action and a little less squabbling between the characters like whiny biaches.

The Cody's of a few seasons ago would have taken two episodes to get back up on top.

I'm annoyed
whatithinkis27 September 2021
At first I thought I'd let it go. But later . . . No . . . I am annoyed . . . And I want to say how dare they think they can foist a WHOLE boring, bland, nothing episode on us and just glide on by and think by hitting us with a HUGE bomb shell and that look from J filled with EVERYTHING. Just everything. So powerful, so HUGE and think, there, that's enough. That's an hours worth packed into two seconds at the very last possible moment.

THAT'll get you all back for the season finale. And it will. It worked.

But it doesn't mean there isn't a price to pay: there is. I'm really really annoyed.

And I'm rating the episode accordingly.
