Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaGeorge Lucas modeled Cad Bane after American actor Lee Van Cleef's character of Angel Eyes from the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). While the resemblance isn't as noticeable in the animated series which Bane has appeared in, some of Van Cleef's facial features are incorporated into the prosthetics created for his live action debut. Most noticeably, Bane's chin is sculpted to look like Van Cleef's, as are his high angular cheekbones.
- GoofsAhsoka is of the Togruta species. Like Twi'leks, they have head appendices called Lekku, that grow longer with age. In "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (up to 19BBY), Ahsoka's Lekku are short. In "Star Wars Rebels" (1BBY), they have grown considerably longer. Now, 10 years later, in the live action version, they are short again. Jedi Master Shaak Ti shows the normal adult length of Togruta Lekku.
- Quotes
Ahsoka Tano: [Luke observes Grogu's training session] You've taught him well.
Luke Skywalker: It's more like he's remembering than I'm actually teaching him anything.
Ahsoka Tano: Sometimes the student guides the master.
Luke Skywalker: The Mandalorian was here.
Ahsoka Tano: As I told you. The two share a strong bond, and he brought him a gift.
Luke Skywalker: Sometimes I wonder if his heart is in it.
Ahsoka Tano: So much like your father.
Luke Skywalker: What should I do about him?
Ahsoka Tano: Trust your instincts.
Luke Skywalker: [she turns to leave] Will I see you again?
Ahsoka Tano: Perhaps.
[giving a slight bow of respect]
Ahsoka Tano: May the Force be with you.

People Will Complain about Lack of Title Character Understandably but...
We all need to realise this is part of a Star Wars universe now. It is jarring to have gone away from the title character so much in the last two episodes BUT this is a universe and everything that happened on Tatooine this episode ties into the confrontation that is coming. I also think the stuff off world (not spoiling here) will also likely feed into the finale.
Just enjoy this for it what it was, absolute pinnacle Star Wars, we just watched something absolutely iconic and I am forever grateful to et to see something so emotional and so good.
