Confusing at first, then it came around

Enjoying The Terminal List more and more. It took a short while to get on board with this one, but the ending made the episode worthwhile. I do my very best in not revealing any spoilers. I just tell as much as I can about my feelings for the episode. Also, I do not read any submitted reviews as I don't want to know about the content of the show.

This is another great episode and is getting better and better.

I'm a fan of Chris Pratt and I don't even SEE CHRIS PRATT anymore. I see his character and he does it very well. I would like to see Chris do the Mitch Rapp character if any additional movies come out.

The Plot Thickens

Warning: Spoilers
Defense Secretary Harltley refers to Reece as "one data point" in her plan to reduce the defense budget through forced retirement of veterans like Reece. She seems sincere in leaving a "legacy" of empathy for PTSD victims.

Saul Agnon is the supersalesman of Capstone Industries located in San Francisco. His boss is the genius Steve Horne who is at the center of setting up Reece's team and murdering his family.

Reece has fully enlisted Katie in his plan, and she now recognizes the seriousness of the plot against him. Katie will be investigating Project 4895 that is the code for the secret op.

Saul Agnon makes a sales pitch to the tycoon Elias Roberg to purchase Capstone Industries. It was Marcus Rasky who enlisted the hit team against Lauren and Lucy. Saul makes an exit from the film with an injection of meth delivered by Reece.

By now, it is clear that Reece is much more than "a data point."

Important episode

I've watched the whole of Terminal List. Overall, a great bit of TV. One of the best things I've seen Chris Pratt in. I found episode one a little confusing, and nearly bailed out. Episode 2 gave me enough to keep me onboard. Episode 3 is where the various threads start to come together, and the story builds from here onwards. It is, though, an advert for the US special forces and, like many others, the lead character Reece is indestructible. And the body count increases rapidly, and believability tanks as we approach the bloody climax. So it is just another version of stuff that has gone before. I good watchable version, but nothing unique.

Consolidation is a good description of this eisode

Warning: Spoilers
Now we're getting somewhere. I like the characterization of the players here. Saul Agnon turns out to be a "closer" for the evil capstone corporation. He sells the fake investment opportunities to investors for Capstone. Saul is the quintessential pencil-neck pushy salesman.

Jai Courtney plays Steve Horn, the tip of the spear (in his own mind) for Capstone's operatives who carry out the nefarious missions to the benefit of...what major players?. Steve fancies himself a SEAL commander, but comes across as a wannabe. It isn't clear right now whether he's a retired SEAL or just a playboy playing a SEAL.

Dan, played by Taylor Kitsch, is CIA, and a brother SEAL who has Reece's back. I kind of doubted that Taylor Kitsch would be good in this part, but he's great here. His portrayal of a spy at the golf tournament where Saul is trying to close on a big investor is just right. He does his job while looking exactly like an off-duty SEAL. That makes it a little comical, Dan lurking around unnoticed by anyone watching. It means, though, that Saul has nobody watching out for him who would notice Dan.

This series is turning out to be better than I expected.

Project RD-4895

Warning: Spoilers
1. Reece outguns an assassin 2. Saul plays golf 3. Reece goes to a strip club

I like the fact that you can tell he's paranoid or he's just using his on special ops senses. So now the whole story is being slowly revealed. It's something to do with an arms deal, VC and a mysterious project. While it seems like the top boss is already revealed (Steve Horn), it's gonna be interesting to see Reese take them down one by one. The problem with it being overdramatic was less pronounced this episode. I do see moments where it is on the verge of becoming corny because there has been hundreds of movies that are like this and just because it's a TV show, doesn't mean it gets a free pass. Constance Wu doesn't really add much to the show even though she's a major name. There is a lot of plot developing so the next couple episodes are going to be crucial.

Disappointed they felt the need to put nudity in the series.
lgalwhs11 July 2022
The scenario in which the nudity occurs is totally unnecessary. The goal accomplished in that scene could have VERY easily, and believably, been achieved in a different situation/location.

I realize I may not speak for most, but I do speak for many, who consider gratuitous nudity just as harmful as gratuitous violence in today's media. Especially when displayed in scenarios such as seen in this episode.
