- Quotes
Yolanda Montez: Is the devil real?
Father Thomas: Have you heard him whispering to you? Because we all...
Yolanda Montez: I think I've seen him.
Father Thomas: Well, the devil is everywhere, tempting us at every turn. That's what confession is for. But my question is, what did the devil make you do?
Yolanda Montez: This isn't about me. I mean, it is, but... okay, something terrible has happened. God isn't here on Earth to stop the devil, so... shouldn't we? Because if we don't, more people will get hurt.
Father Thomas: I'm not sure I understand.
Yolanda Montez: If I kill something truly evil... can I ever be forgiven?
Father Thomas: Kill something?
[suffering a headache, she flashes back to killing Brainwave]
Father Thomas: What have you done? What have you done? Yolanda?
Yolanda Montez: The devil is real. And he's in Blue Valley.

The episode focuses heavily on Yolanda Montez and her identity as both herself and the alter ego Wildcat, there were scenes with other characters too that has a meaning to the plot and their individual character arcs, but lots of things could be seen as filler in this episode and that's alright. We got to see a cameo of Christopher James Baker as Henry King Sr. / Brainwave and Jake Austin Walker as Henry King Jr, which caught me by surprise but I was so happy just because of how much I liked Christopher James Baker's performance as Brainwave. Yvette Monreal's performance as Yolanda Montez was the highlight of the episode and she captured the emotions perfectly, I also give praise to Sheelin Choksey who did a fine job at directing this episode and how he nailed the visual part of the of Yolanda's story. The writing was also great and I love the road they're taking with the young heroes as it feels realistic and the emotions the teenagers have is easy to relate with. Seriously, great work.
In my opinion, this was a good episode but there were some bad things about the episode and mostly the pacing and writing. I wish they would have had Artemis Crock in the episode to see what she's going through being on the run and all after the death of Cindy and Isaac. I also wanted more character development from Courtney Whitmore as I think the character needed it and not the romantic plot she got instead in the episode, seeing Cindy die should have changed her a lot. More of Rick is needed. Overall, a decent episode.
