Another "Manifest"
Time_Traveler1 May 2022
The plane disappearance show Manifest started out well but turned into too much odd storylines and mysteries.

I'm getting the same feeling from this. The last two episodes are slow and meandering.

Two episodes left to see if it holds interest. Doubts are creeping in.

The Outer Limits it ain't

What is happening to this show? The first episodes were great, this one was really boring. The plot is moving like snails, there are too many questions and not enough answers. I hope it will get better, like the first two episodes which were amazing and promising.

[5.9] Holes in everyone's psyche
cjonesas25 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 6: The mishmash continues with its sixth episode. Lots of nonsense. An episode made full of nonsense. An episode made for nonsense.

The only interesting parts were mama bear sniffing sweet poems and the "realistic" fight at the dinner table.

Even that they managed to ruin with Amy running away and abruptly stopping to look at the stars.

Going nowhere...

Incredible

Warning: Spoilers
Riveting storytelling and incredible performances, especially from Poots, Pelphrey, & Brolin. Pelphrey always gives it his all, and he's no different here. Every scene he delivers a heavy & emotional performance. However, this episode is where Poots really shines as the mysterious & stoic Autumn becomes increasingly more unstable and unsettling. I suspect given the final few minutes of this episode, the last two episodes will be stellar. Renew this show for a season two!

So surreal
sparklefish15 June 2022
The tension in this episode was off the hook!

I will be thinking a lot about the symbolism of the color yellow. Autumn once again is the star of the episode for me. I have known people with BPD and Imogen Poots nailed it! Very spectacularly realistic portrayal.

Nice that we got to see more interaction between Joy and her wife and child, and understand what their local church is like. The show has something to say about that version of Christianity that's for sure.

I knocked off a star for the CGI of the bear. That was just cheesy.

I like how this show could be interpreted on multiple levels and a lot of the things that are happening with animals like the bison or symbolic rather than literal.

What happened with this episode?
revymango1 May 2022
Great series up till now then came episode 6. Several unnecessary superfluous religious/social scenes injected into the story line for no apparent reason other than, for lack of better words, to stir the country's melting pot!!

But don't just take my opinion/review, look at the ratings for this episode vs all of the previous.

All in all a compelling series well worth watching!

Come on episode seven!!!

"I'm going to do wondrous things"
bosporan2 May 2022
A long drawn out dirge with delusions of grandeur. The premise is excellent, the cast is strong, Imogen Poots is fabulous again this week, but the story is stagnant, uninspiring drivel.

The sad thing is that it has pretensions of being deep and insightful, but it is neither as intelligent nor sophisticated as it purports to be.

from mediocre

From mediocre to bad to worse. I turned it off. Incredibly slow. And uninteresting. Wondering why I'm watching this show. Started off with some promise. That has evaporated.

What is going on? Started out so good
srawrats23 May 2022
First episode was interesting, 2nd had me hooked but now it seems to be going nowhere fast. I will continue to watch but now each episode does not have me excited to see the next. I think writers just try to stretch out a show that may have been better as a 2 hour movie, I mean if the best parts happen in a season 2, maybe everyone bails out before then. The acting is good, but not a single character has my interest, the boys from both families are not that interesting. The odd Wayne Tillerson is probably the most interesting of the bunch. Maybe throw everyone into the void and start over.

Terrible
ElliottCase4 May 2022
One of the worst episodes of TV I've ever seen. It's supposed to be mysterious but is dull and nonsensical. It definitely had potential with the first episode, but subsequent episodes have grown increasingly worse. I doubt the ending justifies further suffering on my part. I give up.

It's in the stars

Ursa Major & Ursa Minor The Great Bear and the Little Bear constellations Along with Polaris make a star clock for telling the time. The show is supposed to be about time travel after all.

Not sure yet if the mama bear represents Cecelia or Rebecca, possibly Rebecca as the bear didn't harm Autumn.

Of course.....

She is on an SSRI. (per story) I guessed on her first visit....... ok it wants more. Autumn needs to add more to the story to make this surreal western.
