- Lloyd is sent to spy on Andrew Klein. Drama must prepare for a romantic scene on his show. Turtle gets a new wardrobe, courtesy of Jamie-Lynn, and Vince keeps himself occupied between projects.
- Gatsby is a hit, raking in $37.8 million at the box office and earning Vince some great reviews. With production on his next film (The Enzo Ferrari film by Darabont) delayed for 12 weeks (Darabont's sets on Malta were hit by monsoon rains and he needs the time to rebuild them), Vince looks for ways to amuse himself, and Eric is rather bored as well. Drama has his TV show and Turtle is doing his MBA. E has a full time business, but no clients other than Vince. Jamie takes Turtle shopping for clothes for his MBA classes.
Drama is finally assigned a love interest on his network show Five Towns. The audition basically requires Drama to kiss all the candidates to figure out who has the best chemistry with him. Drama acts very choosy (when he finds out that the girls he has been auditioning are all models. He wants an A-list actress), and this angers the director, who threatens to remove the whole romantic angle from the show. Drama panics. He approaches the network, who tell Drama that they are not going to get an A list actress for a 1 scene on a single episode.
Marlo calls Melissa when Andrew is not home one night. Melissa asks Ari if Andrew is having an affair and Ari covers for Andrew. Andrew claims to have ended his affair with Lizzie (He says that the previous night he was ending things with Lizzie and hence got late), but Ari is not too sure and urges him to think about his family. Lizzie comes in to meet Ari & tells him that she made a mistake and would make up for it in her job & performance. She does that when she charms David Schwimmer & pitches an idea that he loves (even though officially he is Andrew's client). David is looking to do a TV series but with a fresh angle. He doesn't like the ideas being pitched to him until Lizzie talks about a detective show where David plays a bit of a jerk, with a comedy angle. David takes Lizzie for lunch, but later Ari finds that Andrew crashed that lunch and angered David.
Ari confronts Andrew, who admits that he is not over Lizzie. Andrew says that David agreed to do the show, but he could not let him have sex with Lizzie. Andrew is killing for Ari at work. He asks Ari for advise. Ari advises Andrew to think of his family, so Andrew files for divorce. Ari catches hell from Melissa when Marlo calls and tells her how Andrew dumped her based on Ari's advise.
As Jamie-Lynn takes Turtle out for back-to-school clothes, he gets a request from Drama regarding Five Towns, one that doesn't please him too well. Drama wants Turtle to ask Jamie to do the part for Drama in his network show. Turtle finally asks Jamie, who agrees to do Turtle the favor.
E & Ashley talk & E tells Ashley that while Vince's career has exploded, the rest of E's business has imploded and he has no purpose in life. E decides to shut down his business.
