Me, We tells the story of various characters affected by the refugee crisis in very different ways. As it takes the perspective of individuals from the host country, it holds up a mirror to our society, skillfully plays with klischees and impressively shows the consequences of expectations being met or disappointed. Truly authentic, but without being judgemental, well worth seeing!!

Great movie with a great cast

Me, We depicts the refugee crisis from the viewpoint of several characters in Austria and Lesbos during the summer of the European Football Championship.
It debates the expectations and preconceptions people from Europe have toward refugees, booth from the left and right.
Very clever movie that manages to talk about such a delicate topic in a very authentic and in parts even humoristic way. Never judging , never politicizing the topic. Highly recommended!

Well, Better than Good, almost Great

By not focusing on "their" Tristesse but merely on "our" phlegmatism, it is one of the most moving films; mainly out of my own comfort zone;
I could see about this topic so far.
And by admiting our flaws, letting "our"selfes get humanized by the minute, it gets tough to keep up any critical, dehumanizing attitude towards "refugee" human beings.
It might seem like liberal wishful thinking at first, but this movie makes all of this scarily accessible.
Nicely and valuably done.

Wonderful! Me, We depicts a broad array of complex characters working on the front line with refugees, while dealing with their own inner struggles. It comprises of several stories that are altogether moving, funny, sad and uplifting, and in my eyes come together to create a feeling of hope and faith in humanity, despite its flaws. The director offers a balanced, empathetic and humanistic approach to each story, leaving the viewer to interpret the events for themselves. Excellent acting from the cast, which includes some amateurs and non actors! This combined with the subtlety and nuance in the writing and direction, to me, made Me, We a joy to watch and a film I would recommend everyone to see!

This Film is really remarkable, because it shows such a complex and difficult subject with great ligthness and humour. The main Charakters are lovable and annoying at the same time. You learn a lot about the diversity of refugee problems without moralising for one single moment. On the contrary: all different storylines are very entertaining- everyone in its one way. Everybody should see this film!
Just Brilliant

Such a beautifully made, powerful film- a timely and imperative mirror to the world as it is now. I laughed, I cried. So grateful to the creators of this film for all their work in making this come to fruition. Will definitely recommend this film to friends. Can't wait to see more from the director, writers, and actors.
