kamalbeeee2 February 2022
A couple came to new house which has 2 people murdered already.

They suspect a neighbour guy and starts to investigate about him.. There is very normal story and no twist and no suspense... One time watchable movie..!!

Another murder in the neighborhood!

Tess and Mark move into a million-dollar home. Her sister, Willow, is a realtor, told them about it thinking that they could buy it, stay in it for a while and then flip it for a while. But what she didn't tell them is that a couple was murdered in their garage! Who did it? You'll have to watch to find out but it was quite predictable as to who the murderer was. Worth one watch.

Bad, Bad, Bad

I did watch the whole movie. It has some of the worst acting in a Lifetime movie that I've ever seen. The lead, especially, sounded as if she couldn't remember her lines. Do not waste your time on this stinker. The actors did look realistic as everyday people and not glammed up like so many other Lifetime movies, but a little make up and better clothes could have been a little distraction from the awful script, acting, slouchy looking people and generic house.

TERRIBLE!! Don't was your time!!

Warning: Spoilers
This is by far one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. From the horrific acting, to the more than predictable storyline.. I typically go for these types of movies, but this is NOT it!! The plot is completely hollow. The husband who is literally gone the entire movie and then "miraculously" shows up at the end just to get knocked out by bad guy, while seemingly "suspicious" neighbor takes the reigns and saves the woman. Plus earlier in the movie the woman's house is broken into and the husband doesn't even come home to check on her?? Sends her sister out to be with her instead. Makes no sense. I don't know how people can watch this. Bad, bad, BAD.

Overly Predictable and boring

Warning: Spoilers
The husband is a d!ck he waste their money in a house his wife hates and leaves her there alone the entire despite her hating the house and even almost being attacked.

The acting is dry but the dialogue is much either. It's a bunch of cringe and quirky cliches turned into a sentence. There's a scene where Mc and her husband were flirting and I kept thinking they were being fr. Husband started saying he found her unattractive as a joke but I they were fr and then later she bought it up again with not a smile on her face and I thought once again she was being fr and that was a new storyline. It was so bad I thought the husband was cheating.

There's a mad old man who we're supposed to like but he's so unlikable. Instead of immediately telling Mc she's in danger or whatever he knows, he chooses to stalk her at night and creep her out to maximum capacity. Then the one conversation he got with her he sorta speculated and didn't rlly do anything good.

The sister was dumb too but she kinda reminded me of me so I can't rlly talk.

The old lady had good potential but she was too cliche. Not only were her lines cliche but she said them all the same, like a cliche old lady. She would smirk and lean over and say something like "every girl enjoys pearls! 😏" Like a character playing a character. I felt extreme awkwardness watching her knowing that if I was around her I'd keep faking a laugh and wanting to get away bc of how corny she is. She also could've been the savior to the Mc at the end bc when she wasn't making me cringe she was yapping about how nosey she is. She and the old guy could've also created a ship (golden retriever x vampire) and both saved Tessa.

I liked that Tessa and the sister got out of the guys house instead of him getting them there but points immediately deducted when she didn't drop the sister at the door and call the police.

When the killer gave the fat guy the money in broad daylight I nearly died of annoyance.

Overall I think the characters were poorly written and the story's time management was horrible. That on top of extreme predictability made it quite an awful watch. I got a good laugh at Mc getting attacked tho.

Nightmare in Hamilton Yards
lavatch9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
When Tess and Mark Ellison decide to purchase their home at 39 Maple Drive in Hamilton Yards, the deal seems too good to be true. The price reduction was due to the violent deaths of the previous owners, Sylvia and Andrew Clark. As it turns out, the purchase of the home really was too good to be true.

The Ellisons immediately encounter some strange neighbors, including the unfriendly Don Seever. Selby is the quintessential nosy neighbor. But the more perplexing figure is the handsome David Gleason, who is constantly fibbing about his past.

The film's focus is on the traumatic experience of Tess Ellison with whom David becomes obsessed. Tess has just passed her bar exam, and she moves into action in researching the deaths of the previous owners. She is assisted by the journalist Harmony Hines, who believes that David was having an affair with Sylvia and may have been the killer.

While there was not a tremendous amount of suspense in the film, the filmmakers kept up a brisk pace and devised a number of intriguing situations. The highlight was Tess's bold move in entering David's house to find any evidence that would explain his strange behavior. She is shocked by what she discovers.

The performances were uniformly excellent. The actress playing Tess really conveyed the sense of anxiety in her new living quarters. Tess and Willow really looked and acted like they were sisters. There was an edginess to David. And Don Seever turned out to be a revelation. There was an especially effective denouement that tied up all the loose ends and put closure on the nightmare in Hamilton Yards.

Good suspense
hisdaughter-8664623 December 2023
I watched the movie and found it quite riveting. While I agree with some of the other reviewers that the acting could have been better, the movie held my attention from beginning to end. While not the greatest movie of all time, it definitely wasn't the worst. It is your typical crazy neighbor story about a young couple who move into a gorgeous house where weird things begin to happen. Turns out the weird neighbor next door is delusional and desperate. If you like these sorts of movies, this one is definitely for you to enjoy. As stated previously, the suspense is amazing but the acting is ok.
