Ridiculously overdramatic. Too many anime/hollywood referrences, which were fun.

Theres no solid big arc, episodial plotting touches on random topics that are very relatable for grown people or adults (basically anime sitcom). Full with fun turns and highly addictive to watch. Very compelling and engaging performances done by every characters. Perfect to kill stress and lighten up your mood. Falls in slice of life, comedy and fantasy categories. Very reminiscence of 90's japanese slice of life animes, but with modern take on animation and referrences. Almost as watching gintama.

Few glimpse of referrences so far - Naruto, Dragon Ball, Jojo, One piece, One punch man, My Hero Academia, Star Wars, Marvel, Gundam, Demon slayer, Back to the Future, aladdin, jurassic world & GoT.

Mostly relatable storylines, Compelling voice casts and Beautiful animation. The opening/ending songs were cute but not that memorable tbh. Still a good watch. Recommended to watch in mandarin.

Really funny, love the fresh take on the lore
nkgxhkg7 June 2023
Found this show super funny and love all the adaptations of ancient lore to modern technology. Self aware and silly in all the right ways for me!

The main character follows the violent Chinese jiejie trope and I love it, especially in this super exaggerated animated style. Outside of the home she's perfectly cordial and keeps her distance from people. Good thing she has built in friends she can't get away from now! Every episode or two brings a new challenge that she must conquer and grow from. Each is a hilarious take on how xian/Yao/whatever else would interact with the 21st century.

I just sped through the first season and can't wait to get started on the second. The first season ended on a pretty funny cliffhanger.

Hilarious Episodic
Shacksi2 April 2024
The show is hilarious with quick gags and a quirky premise. The MC gets shafted on special abilities, but is still the focus of a lot of attention due to her lineage. She's thrust into various out of place scenarios and constantly asked how normal people live while actively being pushed out of normality. In the episodes where she closest comes to having a normal day she subverts them by leaning into the other two characters that live with her. I binged this show with one of my friends and we absolutely loved it. We routinely choose and anime and try to watch as much of it as we can. We started 3 other shows before watching all of this one.

If you like Saiki K then this show is a must watch.

Why does this exist?
hjalsayegh21 May 2023
Remember when you were 14 and self inserted as a half demon, half angel? As in... a human?

So this is this show only boring. The MC is half and half meaning both powers zero out and she's the most average human in the world.

Why is that important? It's not, the writer is 14 apparently. Anyway the whole show is her doing nothing and "gods" acting silly because. Just because. The gods have nothing better to do apparently.

The show is low effort, aimless, framed as a gag show but too stiff for that so the jokes fall flat.

Boring, tedious and pointless. I Have no idea why this even exists. Skip it!
