A journey through a ravaged city
Alexandru Stanescu is an independent filmmaker that has a sense of forgotten beauty and history. His film is a journey through a city ravaged by a political system that didn't love people, neither their accomplishments. For the watchers that don't know anything about this Eastern European Capital, Bucharest is not Budapest and it is not a Bulagrian city! Before the Second World War, Bucharest was a gem of a city, known as "Little Paris". During the Romanian Communist regime, old parts of the city were demolished and replaced with new districts without personality. I can't wait another great documentary from Alex Stanescu! I hope his curiosity and imagination never slow down.
