- A 2D animated film. An animated journey to the Joe Venuti tune, Apple Blossoms. Each pencil animation drawing was traced onto a blank postcard, watercolor painted, stamped and mailed. - Postalolio was produced in Vancouver, Canada at the International Rocketship Limited animation studio. Diector, Marv Newland. Animators: Dieter Mueller, Peter MacAdams and Marv Newland. The picture is made using classic, 2D pencil animation, which was traced on to watercolour postcard blanks, painted and addressed to the Frederator Studios in New York City. Postage stamps from the country where each card was mailed were appplied to the cards. Every animated frame of Postalolio went through the international postal system before becoming part of the final film. The animation, stamps, cancellations and handling marks are all part of the film. Music by Joe Venuti, "Apple Blossoms". End title theme, or Rocketship theme is performed by Paul Plimley. Postalolio has appeared in festivals all over the world including: Edinburgh International Film Festival (Scotland), Ottawa International Animation Festival (Canada), Anima Mundi (Brazil), I Castelli Animati (Italy), Cucalorus Film Festival (USA) and Vancouver International Film Festival (Canada).
