Lots of fun
BandSAboutMovies14 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Serial killer Kyle Wheeler (Ken Brewer, who also directed and co-wrote this movie with Meri Gyetvay) and his even more murderous daughter Nancy (Kaitlin Kinner) have just walked into the park where retired San Francisco cop Matt (Doug Waugh) has just started his new retirement job. Now, he and fellow rangers Cletus (Joe D'Auganno) and Mike (Lawrence Waller) not only have to keep everyone in the park safe, they have to protect themselves, too.

What follows is a movie that's the right length -- 68 minutes -- and non-stop running and slashing. It never takes itself seriously, nor does it feel any reason not to laugh at the slasher genre along the way.

What this film is missing in budget it makes up for in scenery, as the park they shot this in is absolutely perfect for what follows, a constant chase of killers against those seeking to avoid being killed. The effects are mostly practical -- there are some well-done stabbing kills -- and the power chord-rich metal that drives it all is a lot of fun.

My favorite part was when they hyped up the MMA fighter who goes up against Nancy and how quick the battle is. Consider this movie streaming barbecue chips -- filling for a short time with some flavor that'll make you think about it and maybe want another bite later.

Horrible POS
tattooedshortstop7 March 2023
What do you get when you have a 5 year old write a script and then cast people that have no looks nor talent? You get this pile of steaming dung of a movie. Seriously I hope whoever gave any funding for this movie sued to recoup their investment. There is not one redeeming thing about this "film". I can only assume that the positive reviews were submitted by people who were part of this "film" because there is no way anyone with an IQ over 5 would give this "film" a positive review. I truly hope that someone reads this review before watching this "film" and takes heed and avoids this piece of dung.

A generally enjoyable indie slasher that has plenty to like about it
kannibalcorpsegrinder20 November 2022
After escaping from a mental asylum, father and daughter serial killers begin a mass murder rampage on a group of civilians enjoying a tour of a local park, forcing the overmatched guide and the hapless security in the area to protect the remaining guests from the savage duo.

There was a lot to enjoy with this one. One of the better aspects of this one is the film's tendency to execute its slashing scenes rather quickly and early throughout here. Graced with a fun and simplistic setup that allows for that to happen with the duo wreaking havoc on the tour group out in the middle of nowhere without them realizing it, this allows the film to go for a never-ending series of shock ambushes and confrontations that are utilized in the best indie tradition. As this requires them to basically engage in a series of randomized encounters and confrontations with those on the tour or other random guests, it keeps the film moving along quite nicely. As expected, that also ends up providing the film with a slew of fun if cheesy kills. Employing the kind of shock ambushes that it does where this one allows the killers to get the drop on unsuspecting and unaware victims with a knife or blunt object, the opportunity for a smattering of cheesy kills including being sliced open so their entrails fall out, a head sliced open, being beaten with a rock to the point of their head caved in, and a near-endless amount of vicious stabbing that goes on throughout here that keeps this one going from one encounter to the next. This all manages to provide the film a lot to like although there are some problems here. The main drawback is the somewhat troublesome sense of logic that runs throughout here where the films' indie origins mean this one comes undone frequently for the sake of the story. The police officers here routinely forego normal procedure leaving bodies unattended in the middle of the park without alerting others, leaving their equipment out in the field without any attempt to recover it, or leaving untrained and unarmed civilians to retain control over a suspected serial killer as that kind of logic and decision-making is to keep the film going from one setpiece to the next. While the budget also impedes things at times as well, it's not as big of an issue despite sticking out somewhat here.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Graphic Language.

Amazing indie film!!

This movie was top notch. I loved Death Park and this film was a step up. First off it looks great. The picture is clear and vibrant. The acting is awesome as well. Ken has the usual crew and it worked again. I really enjoyed the great drone work in this film. For me the drone work is what put it above Death Park.

The special effects looked great, loved the practical effects. Now this film has a high kill count, which for a film of this nature was a blast.

I love to see independent films like this. They worked hard and did it all with a small budget and no crowd funding. At the end of the day tis is a great indie film from a great group of actors and actresses and one of the best indie writer/directors around. Watch the film and enjoy it for what it is!!
