Oisin McGwen, a beloved village chieftain, finds himself to be the target of the Inquisition. Accused of practicing witchcraft, he is thrust before a blood thirsty inquisition priest, where he learns that his dear friend, Kenneth Sutherland, has bore witness against him. Oisin realizes there is no way out and that he may never again see his family. A sympathetic guard assists Oisin in getting a letter to his daughter, but will it make it on time?
