Exclusive: Courteney Cox is looking for a new home for her pregnancy docuseries 9 Months.
The Friends star and producer Ample Entertainment is shopping the unscripted series to other buyers after Facebook Watch didn’t pick up a fourth season.
It comes less than a week after the series scooped a Daytime Emmy nomination for the series in the Outstanding Short Form Daytime category.
The series, which launched in January 2019, looks at a broad range of Americans as they self-document their 9-month journey of pregnancy. Cox narrates and provides commentary on the series, which has featured stories such as a cancer-stricken mother to pregnant teenagers considering adoption.
It’s been a busy period for Cox; her Starz horror comedy series Shining Vale, which wrapped its first season last month, has been picked up for a second season and she recently starred in the latest Scream film.
Ample Entertainment, similarly, has been on a tear.

An exciting and welcomed twist to the Emmy race for outstanding television movie has arrived, as Mimi Cave’s horror-comedy “Fresh,” starring Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones, is being submitted for Primetime Emmy consideration.
This offers an interesting possibility in a category that hasn’t drummed up much excitement over the last couple of years. While buzzy titles like “Bad Education” and three consecutive “Black Mirror” episodes dominated, the soulful purpose of the category has seemed to be missing. Last year’s winner, “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square,” was the only film of the five other nominees to have another Emmy nomination.
Since the separation of the TV movie and limited series categories in 1992 (merged again in 2011 before being separated again in 2014), there’s never been a traditional horror film nominated in the category. So while the category is stacked with contenders such as HBO’s “The Survivor” from...

It’s another week of unstoppable television. As we barrel towards the end of Emmy eligibility, the mixture of highbrow prestige fare (like “The Staircase”) and four-quadrant blockbusters (like the Mike Myers-led “The Pentaverate”) just keep on coming. Plus, we’ve got new documentaries about Sheryl Crow and a social security scam artist that you won’t believe, Guillermo del Toro’s masterful “Nightmare Alley” like you’ve never seen and the Muppets invading “Holey Moley.” Buckle up. It’s a big week.

Mike Myers has been off the radar for a little while. His last film appearances happened in 2018 (including a small role in the Oscar-winning “Bohemian Rhapsody”), the same year he showed up as Dr. Evil in a pair of appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Now, he’s back. The Invisible Pilot is about a pilot the way Tiger King was about a fellow who just enjoyed being around big cats. Meaning, the fairly unassuming title does not prepare you for the outlandish, stranger-than-fiction events that unfold. In September 1977, Gary Betzner was driving across the White River Bridge in Hazen, Ark., with his wife, Sally, and their young daughter Sara Lee when the 36-year-old pulled the car over, got out and proceeded to jump off the bridge into the water below. Sally Betzner was so distraught she was hospitalized for a few days. Gary's daughter Polly, from his first marriage, got the news on her 6th birthday and was understandably devastated. Polly...

Spring is finally here. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining and there is a colossal amount of new television to keep you indoors and away from both the chirping birds and the shining sun. (Isn’t that always the way?)
This week we’ve got a new Michael Mann show on HBO Max, a new D.B. Weiss movie on Netflix, a new spy movie starring Chris Pine on Amazon Prime Video and documentaries on Benjamin Franklin, a missing pilot and the life of a cow. Sorry spring, you’re going to have to hold a minute.

Michael Mann, the visionary filmmaker behind “Heat” and “The Insider,” returns to television for “Tokyo Vice.” Based on the 2009 book of the same name by Jake Adelstein, who in 1993 was hired by one of Japan’s largest newspapers to be its first non-Japanese reporter.

April is about to be a good month for returning HBO and HBO Max properties.
HBO Max’s list of releases for April 2022 features three hotly anticipated seasons of television. The Flight Attendant, which helped launch HBO Max as a viable spot for good dramedy in 2020, premieres its second season on April 21. That will be followed by another go-around for the sci-fi comedy Made for Love on April 28. Of course, the big ticket item this month is something that HBO Max inherited from its cable cousin. Barry season 3 will continue the story of hitman-turned-actor Barry Berkman (Bill Hader) on April 24.
The TV offerings run much deeper than just returning shows this month. April 7 sees the arrival of Tokyo Vice, a sprawling crime drama with some episodes directed by Michael Mann. The series stars Ansel Elgort as an American journalist embedding himself in Tokyo’s criminal underground in the late ’90s.

Some jobs do not prepare you for much of anything else. Work as a barista and you will know how to make a great latte, perhaps with that cute little leaf in the foam, but that is it. Other jobs provide more marketable skills. The buzzy new three-episode HBO documentary series “The Invisible Pilot,” for example, reveals that being a crop duster was excellent training for anybody looking to set up shop as a drug smuggler.

“Mystery Science Theater 3000” is returning for a 13th season, this time on a new indie streaming platform, Gizmoplex.
Created by Joel Hodgson in 1988, the cult show “MST3K” follows a series of ordinary humans captured by mad scientists who subject them to a series of terrible B-movies. To keep their sanity, the humans create a series of companion robots to riff on the films they watch, which are presented on the show in their entirety. “MST3K” has gone through several iterations, initially airing on Ktma-tv Minneapolis, then on Comedy Central and the Sci-Fi channel, for a total of 10 seasons. It was revived for a two season run on Netflix in 2017. The show has been highly acclaimed since its creation, winning a Peabody in 1993, and has helped turn seberal obscure movies into cult classics, such as “Manos: The Hands of Fate.”

Exclusive: HBO’s latest documentary series The Invisible Pilot tells the story of a charismatic, daredevil husband and father who unexpectedly jumped off a bridge in 1977, despite a seemingly happy home life and a lucrative career as a pilot.
As you can see from the trailer above, the series delves into subjects such as international drug smuggling and a covert war conducted at the highest level of the U.S. government.
The three-part series, which launches on April 4, comes from exec producer Adam McKay and filmmakers Phil Lott and Ari Mark, who direct.
It tells the story of Gary Betzner, whose actions caused his small-town Arkansas community to search for his body in vain while family and friends seek answers. Years later, a mysterious story emerges involving hypnosis, secret identities and a double life of dangerous missions and law-breaking. And that’s just the beginning.
