It was a good episode, really enjoyed to see the show using the elements that make it strong: a nice emergence, buddie, the 118 and heartful moments. I'm sad to see Micheal go but there's no defence for Rockmund's choice. However, we need to discuss the problems with 911 representation, especially with MichealDavid. The couple never really received any attention or proper development, they were never allowed to show too much intimacy or affection (they found time to show Bucktaylor kissing twice in a rushed and packed finale, but MichealDavid bareilly hugged in all of their scenes). There's a clear discrepancy between the way they treat their LGBT caracters and their relationships compared to the straight ones. That's one of the reasons I lost my excitement for the next episodes. We just know that even though Bucktaylor is the most hated couple of the show, they'll probably get a lot of screentime and the writers will try to force a sad storyline to keep them together. I'm not even wasting my time watching the episode on monday because if they stay together I'm not watching it all, I've had enough disappointments so far. There's another time jump comming and this awful couple lasting more time just show the writers don't care about development and just come up with stuff when it's convenient for them. Micheal's departure weakens the poor representation portrayed until now, I wonder how they will fix it. Inserting another caracter that gets no screentime would just further their problems but the future of 911 doesn't look promissing right now.
I really hope I'm wrong and that they can still surprise us. I see the viewers are dropping fast and I'm close to quitting too, let's see if the writers are trying to keep us around or working hard to push us away.
