Wow

Who knew? NBC turned out a really smart, at times funny, well written, and acted show. And not a trace (yet) of politics or ideology. This show was well cast Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw are fantastic together. As Steve and Samantha Bloom they have great chemistry, and they are believable. Gerald McRaney is the frosting on this casting cake. There are already a couple of complementary characters that look to be fun. It looks like this will be like one of those old shows like I Spy where they had great locations. But this shows goes on further by having movie like stunts, action, and flow. All this with good writing and they have a hit on their hands.

Terrific Show

What a surprise! This is the kind of show CBS usually carries. It has an excellent story line. The acting is marvelous. The pacing is perfect with a very nice mix of action, humor and dialog to move the story along. The plot was reasonably original with a few twists to keep things interesting. It has technogadgets galore. The lead guy is nice looking. The lead gal is gorgeous although she does need to watch out for that British accent of hers which comes out occasionally. All in all a terrific show that I hope succeeds. Now if they can only repeat this high quality for every episode. I'm recommending this show to my friends.

Promising, but...

Great show, good story, bad ambiance.

I would advise the people making this show to at least use Google's Street View and YouTube, and take a look at the cities and people they are supposed to be portraying: I've been several times in Madrid, and wherever they filmed that part of the show was not even close to what this city and its people are. And to top it all, they place a church on top of a hill surrounded by low houses! Really? Come on!

Also, their Spanish accent was awful, even the accent of the people that were supposed to be madrileños (I understand it is very difficult to find an Spanish actor, from Spain, in the USA, but it was absolutely unnecessary to place the action in Madrid and I would have absolutely believed it was México).

Those two mistakes ruined the show for me.

Anyway, the story and chemistry between the two main characters seems promising. And if they can keep up this level of action and humor I will continue watching.
