Sex & Nudity

  • At the end of the episode, Amy attempts to seduce The Doctor, in what is easily one of the most sexually-charged scenes in Doctor Who history (with the exception of ones involving Captain Jack Harkness). She starts out by making seductive talk, explaining that even though she's engaged, she knows who she wants, and begins to passionately kiss The Doctor. The Doctor, mentioning that she's engaged and is 21 with him being 907 tries to dissuade her. She goes over to the bed and poses sexily and seductively, before trying one more time to kiss him, again with him refusing.
  • Very sexual use of handcuffs.

Violence & Gore

  • All of the clerics use guns at different times in the episode, always against Weeping Angels.
  • Bishop Octavian is caught in a split second by an angelm who grabs him in a chokehold. The Doctor tries desperately to free him, but Octavian reminds him of where his duty lies, and asks him to leave, knowing it will mean his own death. As The Doctor escapes from the chamber, a wet snap, as if a neck breaking, is heard.
  • It's alluded to that River Song is an accused murderer.
  • In a continuation of the previous episode's cliffhanger, we see what the Doctor has fired a gun at; fortunately, however, the target is not a living being.

Profanity

  • One use of 'bloody' by the Doctor.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This reprise of "Blink" is often times more scary than its predecessor. Much of the subplot involving Amy and the Angel inside her mind is tension filled, as her opening her eyes for the barest moment could mean her death. This is coupled with her having to walk, essentially blind, through a forest filled with Weeping Angels.
  • The Angels are actually seen to move (as opposed to their split-second changes in posture and position from before) and is something of an eerie sight.
  • The discourse between Amy and Marco about the missing clerics is also scary and tear-jerking at the same time when you finally realize what's happened to them.
