Gabe's facial wounds mysteriously disappear when he goes to see his major, then reappear in the following scenes.
When Gabe is putting away the lures given to him by Foyle, we see him place them in a translucent plastic fishing lure box. Contrary to popular belief, such boxes were indeed available in 1945.
The scene around 30 minutes shows the American camp. The tents shown are British. The standard American tent of the era was an M34 pyramidal. The Army could have borrowed form the Brits but just saying.
Sign: "COMESTIBLES - Delicatessen & Cafe - Tel. 01730 813400". Subscriber Trunk Dialling (STD) was introduced in 1958 and the 01 national code was assigned in 1995. (01730 is for Midhurst, West Sussex.)
The jeep shown early is correct for the vintage. But both brake lights at the rear was not. WW2 vehicles all had black out only on the right. Regular brakes were left only. These are modified after the war for modern safety standards if used regularly or laws change. On second notice it has a center light as well. Again not WW2.
Sergeant Calhoun always wears the collar brass on his uniform upside down, an infraction of uniform regulations.
When asked where the body is Sgt Calhoun responds with "in Sick Bay". This is an odd response from an Army sergeant. Sick Bay is used in US Navy/Marine environs. Such facilities are known as hospitals in the US Army.
