The show opens with a ten bell salute to the late Brian Pillman. Michael Cole interviews Shawn Michaels and Triple H. The Headbangers face the Godwinns in a lumberjack match. Miguel Perez takes on Marc Mero. Jim Cornette does his first commentary, mostly about the NWO. Rocky Maivia faces Davey Boy Smith. Vince McMahon offers Steve Austin a contract if he will sign a waiver. Owen Hart defends the Intercontinental Championship against Road Warrior Hawk. Vince McMahon interviews Brian Pillman's widow, Melanie (this is slightly uncomfortable to watch). Kane comes out and destroys the Hardy Boyz, before Paul Bearer cuts a promo. The main event is Bret Hart versus Triple H. An okay episode.
