Not a bad little low budget modern day western.

Not a bad little movie made back in the eighties in Ft. Worth, Texas. Kind of like a low budget "The Rounders", this film has a pretty good cast including Country Music Legend Lefty Frizzell's daughter, Lois, Former radio personality Brad Wilson, Actor/director/cowboy Dean Reading and Charlie McCafferty, a Wilford Brimley type. The storyline is pretty basic but still entertaining. I saw it at a film festival a few years ago. It is extremely hard to find nowadays. It was shot in the historic stockyards area of Fort Worth and on a ranch in Texas. I'm not sure where the ranch is, but it's a beautiful area. The stockyards scenes were shot before the complete renovation of the area in the late eighties and early nineties so if you want to see what the area looked like then, this is your chance. The same team of actors (with the addition of Dale Berry)and crew shot a second film in 1988 in the Stockyards called "The Broken Spur", but was never finished according to reports. Anyway, if you run across this film, it's worth a look.
