His good side
TBJCSKCNRRQTreviews11 November 2013
This is a 20 minute sitdown interview, wherein the Scientologist goes into his personal relationship with the late director(R.I.P.). Considering how much shorter of a space that was than the one with Spielberg(also part of this series), it's surprising that they opted for one, as well as one for Kidman.

Before I dive into the real meat of it, yes, as you've probably guessed, Cruise's ego, much bigger than he is(hey, I'm short too... I'm allowed to joke about it), does rear its ugly head here. In his retelling of their first encounter, he makes frequent mention of the helicopter(see how rich he is?) he flew to meet the film-maker.

Once this progresses beyond that, there are some noteworthy things here, about the man(much of it in the form of his caring nature), and, to a greater extent, about the work the two, and fellow movie star, Nicole, did on Eyes Wide Shut. The double-edged sword of a married couple portraying those two roles - trust and familiarity, with the option that they may turn against their union.

There is one instance of strong language in this. I recommend this to completist fans of Kubrick. 6/10
