Trevor Noah has been selected to replace Jon Stewart as host of the award-winning Comedy Central series "The Daily Show". The premiere date of his first episode has not been set yet and will be announced on a future date.
Noah is a South African stand-up comedian who joined the series in 2014 as a contributor, and has hosted numerous television shows including his own late night talk show in his native country. He was also the subject of David Paul Meyer's award-winning documentary film "You Laugh But It's True" about his career in post-apartheid South Africa.
