The dutch are famous for making a lot of really bad movies and a few excellent ones. This one belongs in the first category.
The main irritation is the lead actor, which seems to be a farmer boy pulled from a tractor and made an actor. His acting is clumsy, wooden and he seems to shout all the time, it is painfull to watch.
And yes, it is a childrens movie but you could make some descent dialogues, ...please. They are children, no morons.
And then ofcoruse, as it is made by a religious broadcasting company, we have to have some references to god and some real bad nearly discriminatory texts like: yes I'm rumanian, but I'm trusthworthy (which in the end he's ofcourse not completely)...say again???
