- Morgan makes her escape, leaving a puzzled Ygrain believing she is going mad until Merlin explains Morgan's deception. They go to Castle Pendragon to confront her but end up as her prisoners. Leontes,now aware of his wife's infidelity,prepares to leave Camelot but joins Arthur and the knights in defending Bardon Pass,an outpost attacked by Morgan's men in Morgan's plan to show people the fragility of Arthur's protection and the need for her patronage. Guinevere also turns up and the affair is made public. The attackers are repulsed but Arthur stays behind to hold the fort,allowing the others to escape.—don @ minifie-1
- Leontes questions Guinevere, who admits her infidelity with Arthur on their wedding day. Merlin convinces Leontes to abstain from revenge out of loyalty to his fellow knights and country, at least until the war threat is dealt with. Merlin and the real Ygraine discuss Morgan's successful impersonation. Back in her castle, Morgan poses as loyal royal sister but spreads the message Arthur can't guarantee security, so people would be wise to pledge loyalty to her. Her henchmen lay siege to a strategically vital border post, Bardon Pass. Keeper Lucan sends his son Albion to ask Camelot for a rescue. Although outnumbered heavily, Arthur, his champions and military genius Gawain mount a glorious defense. After open disdain for bride-snatcher Arthur from all knights including Kay, in battle even Leontes puts his just grudges aside.—KGF Vissers
- Morgan's right-hand man Harwel lays siege on Bardon Pass in order to goad Arthur and his knights into a battle against the odds. Before leaving to Bardon Pass, Leontes confronts Guinevere of the gossip told to him by Morgana, disguised as Queen Igraine, and then prepares to confront Arthur over bedding Guinevere on their wedding day, but Merlin warns him to go and comfort his wife over her betrayal, and to leave Aurthur to him. Merlin confronts Arthur, and warns him not to tell anybody, because it will ruin their trust in him as an effective leader. Merlin then warns Gawain to watch Arthur and protect him from Leontes if necessary.
After Queen Igraine meets Morgan, disguised as Igraine, face-to-face in Camelot, she has a breakdown. Merlin, recognizing the deception that has taken place, is accompanied by Igraine to Castle Pendragon to confront Morgan. Denying the claims of sourcery, Morgan has her guards arrest Merlin and Igraine to be taken back to Camelot for justice under Arthur. Along the way Morgan finds more people, on their way to Camelot, looking for protection. Morgan promises them protection under her banner. Merlin explains to Igraine that it will be up to Arthur's wisdom to show the people their innocence and expose Morgan's treachery.
Arthur and his men arrive at Bardon Pass and quickly determine to be outnumbered. They score significant wins, but realize that they're not going to be outlast the stand-off forever and should evacuate the pass and withdraw to Camelot. In the middle of the fighting, Guinevere arrives to make a desperate plea to Leontes to keep her, which then draws out Arthur's confession to his men of his betrayal of his champion. Leontes forgives her of her betrayl. The news divides his knight's opinion of him as they prepare to withdraw. Arthur promises Gawain that he will be behind them in order to give them a head start, but instead stays behind in order to fight off the invading army alone.
